Mark Your Calendars--Events Scheduled at the Fall Market:
October 16 -- Rehoboth Beach Jazz Fest Performance at the HLFM market featuring Reggie Harris, sax player, and Sam Ricci on keyboard. They are playing 10 am-noon.
October 30—Halloween at the Market. Wear a costume? Have your dog wear a costume? Buy a pumpkin?
November 6—Customer Appreciation Day. Free brownie bites and apple cider + we’re raffling off a GIANT Jade Plant courtesy of Herbs, Spice, Everything Nice. Entries are free, but you need to enter on November 6 at the Market.
November 13—Volunteer Appreciation Day. It takes over 30 volunteers each week to run the actual market. They do traffic control, assist demos, take the gate counts, inform customers on who has what and vendor locations, run the SNAP tent and help folk process their EBT cards and get the $20 HLFM match, set-up and take-down the market, and remove the trash. Behind the scenes all year, volunteers help raise money to keep the non-profit HLFM going, promote SNAP to different communities, recruit chefs and others for the demos, visit farms that want to join the Market, and much, much more. REALLY--without our volunteers we would not have a market in Lewes. We’re going to try and take a large overhead pic of volunteers that day, so if you volunteer, stay tuned for more info on time. We thank you so very much!
November 13 and 20—Food Drive. For many years we have collected food (both perishable and non-perishable) the last two days of the Fall Market. This gives just a little bit more to the food pantries for the season.
Covid Protocols
We hope you are vaccinated. If not, please wear a mask when you are at the market. Help keep our market safe for everyone!

You can still pre-order from a number of our farmers/producers to guarantee your purchase will be ready for you when you come to the market. See below for information on how to pre-order from each vendor.
SNAP, WIC, SFMNP—HLFM Matches up to $20 of SNAP Per Market
The Market will continue to match SNAP up to $20 per market, per customer. SNAP and the $20 match is processed at the SNAP tent in the Market. WIC and SFMNP coupons are also welcome at the Market. If you qualify, here is a link to where you can get SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program) coupons.
Epworth Food Pantry-Help Your Favorite Farmers and the Food Pantry
HLFM customers who want to help feed the local community with fresh local food may purchase produce, meats, milk, and other food from growers at the Market to donate to the Epworth Food Pantry program every Saturday. It’s so easy--all you have to do is let the vendor know what you want to donate or give $5, $10, $25 to the vendor and ask them to put together a selection for Epworth. The farmer gets your sale, and the food pantry gets the local food. We thank you for your generosity, and if you have any
questions, please contact us: [email protected]

Market Volunteers Needed—Can You Help?
Do you come to the Market all the time and wonder what all those folks in green HLFM aprons do? Well, you can find out by volunteering for the non-profit Historic Lewes Farmers Market, almost totally run by volunteers. We still need additional help at the Market through November. There are two shifts for volunteers, so you only have to commit to a two-hour period. If you are interested in working at the SNAP tent, please let us know. To volunteer, please contact us: [email protected].
