Stay Tuned for NEW CPT Codes!

As of January 1, 2024, CMS approved of three new CPT codes for caregiver training. Unfortunately three are several questions yet to be answered regarding the use of these codes. As soon as CMS clarifies our industry's important concerns, we will provide training!

Good Grief...GG Again?

Many of you have had extensive training about the importance of Section GG. It impacts reimbursement to our facilities in so many ways from case mix score to quality measures to the strength of your outcomes. All of this can impact star ratings and the ability to retain managed care contracts.

Upon review of GG Scores throughout Arbor, some common errors were noted. PTs do not always have the latest information about toilet and tub transfers which results in an artificial down scoring of these areas. Please communicate with your colleagues about tub and toilet transfers for the most accurate scoring. Our website has an updated 1 day tracker as an option to ease inter-departmental communication. Check it our under Arbor Forms and Binders> Operational Forms OR under the Arbor Rehab Education tab, Section GG Resources.

Please try to complete your discharge summaries in a timely manner to include accurate GG Scoring.
