DT Projects on Display

Check them out in the Upper Sanctuary

The youth in Discipleship Training celebrated the completion of their Guiding Word Projects, Wednesday night. They presented completed projects and shared how they connected their work with scripture passages they memorized this year. You can check out their work and leave feedback for them. Their projects are on display in the upper sanctuary.

Interested in Making Music?

We're Forming a New Group

Congregational leaders are hearing the calls from many to work toward another musical group to lead worship. Stephanie Luedtke, Director of Sojourners' Service, was called to serve in our midst as one who helps us achieve that goal. We are ready to begin moving froward. Stephanie is holding an informational meeting Sunday, May 3 for those interested in participating in a band. This brief meeting will be held between services. We are looking for: guitars, vocalists, percussionists, strings, flute, etc. Attending the meeting will not obligate you to participate. Our hope is to raise up new leaders in music from within the congregation who are not already participating in one of our other outstanding musical groups. Check it out and invite a musical friend.

Youth Leading Worship

Discipleship Training Youth

Discipleship Trainees are leading worship, Sunday, May 3, at both services. Join them as they proclaim Christ crucified and resurrected. Some may share about their newly-completed Guiding Word Projects, which they presented this week during our first (soon to be) annual Guiding Word Presentation Night.

Art Jaehnke in Concert

At CTK's Organ

Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Art Jaehnke will present an organ concert on the beautiful Ra-donovich Organ of Christ the King. Art is the director of the Sanctuary Choir and the Royal Bells at the Church. He has been studying or-gan since the age of nine and has played at various churches most of his life. Classical favorites by Bach, D' Aquin, Mendelssohn and Widor will be played along with a Concerto for organ and brass quartet by Dutch composer, Marius Monnikendam. The second half of the program features music from the era of the grand theatre organ.

Welcoming Christine

Installation: May 17

For four years, the congregation has dreamed of expanding its staff to include a person who helps people of all ages grow in their faith. Christine Shander joined our staff Easter Sunday to do just that. She joins us as our Christian Growth Coordinator. She will guide and lead Christian growth ministries to youth, children, and adults. Welcome her into the CTK community. Her office is next to PJ's. Drop in and wish her well. She will be installed Sunday, May 17. You can contact Christine by calling the church office at 262-646-2343 or by emailing her at
