Please join us in congratulating Officer John McInnis, Officer Jonathan Harrison, Officer Christopher Panarello, Officer Sebastian Ryan, and Officer Robert Morsilli on this important achievement. Their successful completion of the Academy marks the beginning of their service to the residents of Woonsocket. A new exhibit celebrating Woonsocket’s youngest artists is open at the Museum of Work and Culture from Friday, May 22 through Saturday, June 13, 2026! The “Woonsocket Proud” exhibit features collaborative artwork created by local fifth-grade students from across the city’s six public elementary schools. After visiting the Museum earlier this year, students learned about Woonsocket’s rich history and contributed to a community art project inspired by America’s 250th anniversary, weaving personal wishes for the nation’s future into handmade looms. The exhibit will be on display at 42 S. Main Street, Woonsocket, and highlights the creativity, reflection, and civic pride of the city’s youth.
A celebratory reception for students and their families will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, featuring light refreshments. Residents are encouraged to stop by and experience this meaningful showcase of local talent and community spirit!
| | Ride Smart: The Benefits and Safety Basics of E-Bikes | | |
E-bikes are a convenient, eco-friendly way to get around that make commuting easier, help reduce traffic congestion, and allow more people to travel efficiently without relying on a car. They’re also a great option for saving money, especially as gas prices continue to rise, making everyday travel more affordable while still encouraging outdoor activity and movement.
For safety, riders should always wear a helmet, follow all traffic laws, use lights and reflectors in low visibility, and stay alert and free from distractions. Ride at safe speeds, especially in shared areas, and always signal turns. E-bikes must stay off sidewalks and are intended for roadways and designated bike paths only, helping ensure pedestrian safety.

| | Woonsocket Situation Table | | | | The Woonsocket Situation Table is a multi-agency collaboration of local human service, health, education and criminal justice professionals that meets Wednesday mornings to address situations where an individual or family is at a significant risk of harm.
