What's Good at The Park - Week 6 - Spring Semester 2021/22

Week 6 - Spring Semester 2021/22

Principal's message:

Happy Friday Coyotes! The first three-day weekend of February is upon us! We had a big announcement this week when we were able to suprise Social Science teacher Earl Bench on his selection as FJUHSD Teacher of the Year! Board Member Joanne Fawley, Superintendent Steve McLaughlin, district and school staff, as well as some students were on hand to take part in the surprise. Congratulation Mr. Bench on a well deserved recognition.

It was also National Counselors Week! Thank you Ms. Mansour, Ms. Herreros, Ms. Gallego, and Ms. Arciba for being the most amazing counselors in the world! I know I may be a bit bias, but we think you're the best :)

Thank you for all you do!

As we wind down our winter sports and kick off our spring sports season, we have a special recognition for one of our outstanding athletes. Selena Martinez finished her amazing high school water polo career in the CIF record books! On top of her team accolades, competing each year in CIF, and winning a CIF Championship in 2019, she completed her senior season with 179 goals, placing her #5 ALL-TIME for most goals scored in a single season! What an amazing accomplishment. Next stop, college!

It's Valentine's Day weekend and Super Bowl weekend all rolled up into one! I hope you all have some fun plans ahead. It's going to be an unseasonable warm weekend so stay cool Coyotes!

Dr. Berg

Happy Valentines Day from the BPHS Front Office

Seniors!!!

BPHS A.R.M Program Director Mr. Nehme and I met with representatives from RBC Bearings Inc. to discuss a future partnership to provide BPHS students internships starting as early as this summer! We were able to get an amazing tour of their facility right here in our own backyard, and see the synergy between what they do and our program. More information to come as we hash out the details, but the potential opportunities could be amazing and we look forward to this new relationship going forward.

The Corner is open before and after school, during lunch and breaks, by appointment with a therapist, or with a pass from a teacher or administrator. Please stop in and visit and know that "Support is just around the CORNER."

We want YOU to be part of our BPHS PTSA! Be in the know of everything BPHS...Help plan some special functions like Grad Nite...Students who are members of PTSA qualify for special scholarships in the spring of their senior year!

Students...do you know your SLOs

Student Learning Outcomes

The purpose of SLOs are to increased student awareness of their own learning

Explicitly-stated learning goals give students a way to think and talk about what they have learned. They make it easier for students to “know what they know” and give students a language to communicate what they know to others. Such awareness is considered central to learning that lasts.

Have a Great Week Coyotes!

It's a Great Time to be a Coyote!

We boast an amazingly diverse student body that enriches the campus on a daily basis. Our focus on success means we hold all students to high expectations, and provide a supportive environment in order to help them reach their dreams. The work will be hard, but we provide the means for all students to be connected to high school and gain future college and career ready success.
