RESPONSE TO ARMORY INCIDENT ON FRIDAY
Dr. Casey will be sending out a communication via "robo-call" regarding what will be happening at TCS in the aftermath of the tragic killing of 28-year old Gabrielle Maria Garcia late Friday afternoon in the Armory.

Thank you to the parents who reached out to Dr. Casey over the weekend. While she was aware of the students involved in TCS after school programs (having worked with staff at the time to contact parents and arrange for transportation home), she has since learned that additional students may have been in the Armory at the time. After speaking with parents this weekend, she has been co ordinating with Seattle Center and with District Safety and Security and will be sharing information with all families regarding protocols in place for this week.

UPCOMING OPEN HOUSE
TCS Open Houses are put on by the ASB (student government) with support from CSCA. The students do a great job representing and "selling" the school, but they need our help ... providing snacks ! Our first one is on 11/15, so please click here to sign up

These Open Houses are a key recruitment strategy for TCS, an important part of keeping enrollment numbers up (which means keeping district funding up), and enriching our school community!
STATEMENT OF SUPPORT
The New York Times recently reported that the Department of Health and Human Services is looking to redefine gender in a way that would no longer be inclusive of transgender and non-binary people.

On behalf of The Center School CSCA, we would like to be very clear that our school community stands in support, recognition and affirmation of our trans- and non-binary students, staff and families.
