CLASSIC MINI COOPER IS THIS
YEAR'S ANNUAL CAR RAFFLE!
The Kent Memorial Library has a 2012 mint condition pepper white Mini Cooper Convertible as its 2022 raffle car. The winning ticket for the car will be drawn on Sunday, October 30 outside the Kent Town Hall at the end of the annual Pumpkin Run road race.

“This is the 20th year of our raffle of a car to raise funds for the Library, and this one is a real beauty,” said Jim Blackketter, Library board member and one of the men and women on the “Car Guys” team who choose the car and conduct the raffle.

Tickets are available in the Library at 32 North Main Street, online, and throughout the summer outside the Library on weekends during the famed Library book sale.

They can also be purchased by mail by sending a check for $20 to Kent Memorial Library with a self-addressed stamped envelope to KML Car Raffle, P.O. Box 127, Kent, CT, 06757.

The Mini Cooper has a carbon black interior, a six-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive. It has 26,000 miles on the odometer and has been serviced regularly from the start.

“It’s such a great car with super low mileage. Not only will you get a cool, fun car, you can support the Library at the same time. It’s a win-win!” raved Library director, Sarah Marshall.

The Kent Memorial Library launched the popular car raffle many years ago. Proceeds go to support the Library’s operating budget and make an important contribution since the Library is responsible for raising over 70% of its annual budget.
