Welcome to September!

As the season starts to change, London is buzzing with events that bring people together: from students returning for Homecoming to city-wide festivals and gatherings. It’s a month that highlights the best of our community: creativity, connection, and celebration.

At RBC Place London, we’re set to welcome more than 10,000 guests across 13 events, including the return of London Comic Con, Community Living Ontario's Annual Conference, and the Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs Fall Symposium. We’ll also close the month with signature celebrations from the Western Mustangs, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, and Libro Credit Union.

Beyond our walls, the city’s calendar is just as full, with crowd pleasers like the Western Fair, SKYDRIVE 2025, Nuit Blanche, and Doors Open London. As we step into a new season, we look forward to welcoming visitors and showcasing London as a place where big ideas and community spirit thrive.

SEPTEMBER IN THE FOREST CITY

Beyond our walls, London’s calendar is just as full, with highlights that showcase the city’s vibrant venues and cultural spaces.

In the Western Fair District, the annual Western Fair (September 5–14, westernfair.ca) brings rides, concerts, and family fun to the heart of the city.

Over at London International Airport (YXU), aviation enthusiasts won’t want to miss SKYDRIVE 2025 (September 27–28, skydrivelondon.ca), featuring thrilling air shows and displays, as well as the brand new Rock the Runway concerts (September 12-13, rocktherunwaylondon.ca).

Dundas Place hosts Nuit Blanche London on September 20 (nuitblanchelondon.ca), an all-night celebration of contemporary art installations and performances.

Families can make the most of late summer with Fairway Fest (September 19-20, eastparklondon.com/fairwayfest at East Park, while those seeking live entertainment will find world-class acts at iconic music venues like London Music Hall and Rum Runners (londonmusichall.com/upcoming-events).

And if you’ve ever wondered what lies behind some of London’s most storied doors, Doors Open London (September 27–28, londonheritage.ca/doorsopenlondon) offers a rare chance to explore dozens of heritage, cultural, and community spaces not usually accessible to the public.

In September, we recognize "Orange Shirt Day" and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honour the many individuals who lost their families and cultures as a result of the residential school system.

Each year, the Orange Shirt Society holds a an Orange Shirt Design contest, as a celebration of creativity and remembrance.

The 2025 winning design showcases a tree, a heart, and children. The tree represents nature, and the heart symbolizes that "Every Child Matters" and is equally important. The children in the design are holding feathers as an Indigenous representation; however, they are drawn without faces so that they have no expression and can represent any child.
