These positions are flexible, still allowing the interns to fulfill their responsibilities with the SNS program. The Office of Youth Services is so thrilled for this opportunity.

DeKalb Atlanta Senior Center spent the month of December getting into the holiday spirit and providing much needed items to those in need. Members donated three large bags of toys to the Zone 6 Police Precinct in the Kirkwood Community for their toy drive; and the DeKalb Atlanta “Inspirationals”, a 12-member dance team who has performed all over DeKalb held a luncheon and sock collection for the ProMedica Skilled Nursing Home/Manor Care of Decatur.

The center was honored with the 2022 DeKalb Atlanta Senior Center Centerpiece, presented by the SCLC Women, Inc. For the past three years the SCLC Women Inc. has celebrated the Christmas season by presenting senior centers with a centerpiece for their facility in lieu of their annual Christmas luncheon. Members were also treated to refreshing beverages provided by The Chill Latte Beverage Truck which provided boxes of Krispy Cream Christmas donuts and an assortment of over 100 beverage flavors. Afterwards, the seniors participated in Christmas BINGO and several other fun activities.
