While answering musical requests from soldiers and loved ones during wartime, Patti, Maxine and Andrew entertain the “studio audience” with Andrews Sisters-style tunes and choreography, Abbott and Costello comedy sketches, and a touching tribute to Veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

Topic this month:
Using Hoopla in Your Search

Investigate your family tree with staff member GG using the many resources available at the library!

Access to:
  • Ancestry Library Edition - immigration records, vital records of family members and military records
  • A-Z database - profiles for businesses and residents
  • HeritageQuest - census records from 1790 through to 1940, census records for Canadian citizens, and obituaries among other services
  • Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness - a collective of genealogists to help other genealogists. They work together to find documents, upload pictures of graves, and offer a United States, state by state and county by county guide for narrowing down searches

The library has a wonderful historical collection, categorized by Hampshire township, Rutland township, Burlington township and Plato township. Some unique items in our collection include a brick from the local school, a notary stamp press, and lots of pictures. The historical collection truly gives a glimpse of what life was like in Hampshire not so long ago.
