Each year ASCE members volunteer as judges for the ASCE Southern Arizona Branch Excellence in Engineering Award. Our volunteer judges select 1 deserving project from each of the 6 th, 7 th and 8 th grade projects. The students win a certificate, $150 cash prize and an invitation for the student and a parent/guardian to attend our May luncheon.

It’s a fun and rewarding morning looking at students projects and then talking with them about their projects in preparation for the high school level where interviews are part of the assessment.
