Tour of campus highlights of Earth Care Sunday
On Earth Care Sunday, April 19, Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian celebrated the congregation's dedication to caring for its little part of the Earth. After the 11 a.m. service, a group endured the windy, cold day to tour the grounds, which turned into about an hour-long question-and-answer period regarding the many ways B-DRPC chooses plants and trees that help the local wildlife.
Members John and Louise Stroup led the tour and explained to the group that the church works diligently to make the grounds pleasing to our members and to the public. Louise said that she sees B-DRPC as the "Front Porch to Main Street, Brevard." The church grounds provide wildlife habitation, food, shelter, water, and a place to raise the young of many wildlife species.
Brevard-Davidson River is an Earth Care Congregation and, more recently, a Certified Wildlife Habitat. A tip of the hat to the many members who contribute in different ways to make the church property beautiful!
