THE NEW DICE MONITOR

October 2023 EDITION

My Vision

More Innovations and Patents

The New DICE is leading the way in the new alarm industry with innovative technologies and patents.

DICE's team of engineers is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and their multiple patents are a testament to their commitment to innovation.

We are predicting where the alarm industry will be going with technology and we are building our technology around those predictions and where we the alarm industry will be in two years, five years, 10 years, even in 15 years.

One of DICE's most groundbreaking innovations is the video arm and disarm feature. This feature allows users to arm and disarm their video security systems just like they would arm and disarm their alarm panels. This is a major step forward for the industry, and the possibilities are endless.

This patent takes video arming and disarming feature to be used with or without alarm panels. This standardization will make it easier for businesses and consumers to adopt video security systems, and it will help to create a more seamless and integrated security ecosystem.

These patents are a testament to our commitment to innovation and our leadership in the industry.

DICE's innovations are not just about staying ahead of the competition. They are also about making a real difference in the world of safety and security. DICE's vision for the future, DICE 2030, goes well beyond video, analytics, and artificial intelligence. It aims to revolutionize the entire monitoring ecosystem.

This is not just about receiving a patent. Our innovations and new technologies are opening new opportunities and new services that provide you and our industry growth.

Our goal is to help you expand your business models and increase revenues. By adopting DICE's innovations, your company can position itself for success in the future of the alarm industry.

Discover the possibilities of the future of the alarm industry for your company with The New DICE!

...and on a personal note, I have arranged a webinar panel of surviviors of the Hamas attack o Israel. I encourage you to register and listen to their stories. The information and link is in this newsletter.

Works Just Like Alarm Panels

DICE's New Patent Revolutionizes

Video Arming and Disarming

DICE has been awarded U.S. Patent # 11741825B2 for our Arm/Disarm video system.

DICE has been awarded U.S. Patent # 11741825B2 for its video arm/disarm system, which allows users to arm and disarm video security systems using the same standards as alarm panels. This groundbreaking innovation eliminates the need for physical alarm panels and opens up a world of new possibilities for video security.

DICE's system works by converting camera motion detection and AI object detection into virtual sensors. These virtual sensors can be strapped to an alarm automation system as zones, just like traditional alarm system sensors. This allows users to create virtual alarm zones within video cameras, which can be armed and disarmed either through an alarm panel or through a cloud-based app.

The system also supports UL priority alarm types, ensuring that it meets all of the latest alarm industry standards. This means that users can now look for any object, such as a person or vehicle, at a specific time by arming and disarming their cameras and areas of interest.

DICE's patent also allows users to monitor for late openings, early closings, unscheduled openings and closings, and much more. The possibilities are truly endless!

How will you use this new video arming and disarming feature?

The New DICE is currently licensing the technology to other companies to interface into their automation monitoring software and AI platforms.

Perfect for Schools, Hospitals, HOAs, Retail, Construction Sites, and much more

Matrix Interactive: Today and the Future of Command Center Interactive Video Monitoring

More and more end users are asking about monitoring an in-house command center and taking advantage of all the technological advances, especially in interactive video and analytics.

That's now possible with Matrix Interactive and our infrastructure services.

Matrix Interactive

Matrix Interactive Video Monitoring Platform is a cloud-based platform that interfaces with almost any sensor or system, including video, intrusion, access, fire, PERS, and intercom. It also features built-in real-time operational process.

Infrastructure

DICE is an infrastructure company that provides the hardware, software, and networking components needed for in-house interactive video monitoring. DICE can also provide monitoring services, so you don't need to host your own receivers, be concerned about cybersecurity, worry about updates and compatibility, purchase and maintain new equipment, or have substantial in-house IT support.

Share Monitoring with a Central Station

Matrix Interactive's unified cloud-based video, alarm, and event management monitoring platform and services are accessible from anywhere. Since the services are always available, you can decide how you want to monitor – 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, or a hybrid solution. For instance, you can monitor 5 days a week from 9-5, while a central station can take over evenings and weekends.

In addition to the many other benefits that an in-house interactive video system can provide, it can also offer a number of security benefits for universities, hospitals, HOAs, and other organizations.

Real-Time Monitoring

In-house interactive video systems allow for real-time monitoring of buildings and grounds, which can be a valuable tool for deterring crime and for responding to incidents quickly and effectively.

Proactive Monitoring

When we think of the installation of traditional video surveillance systems, we imagine a one-time installation of cameras, an NVR, and possibly a video wall. The problem is that even if you do have a command center, security personnel are watching multiple cameras - which is impossible for an operator.

Matrix Interactive allows you to monitor video surveillance systems like an alarm system. You can arm and disarm cameras, create video zones, and receive alerts when certain events occur. This allows you to be proactive in addressing security threats.

Smart Search - Investigation Tools

Matrix Interactive includes a secure, cloud-based, smart search engine that can be used to quickly and easily review video footage. This is essential for investigating crimes or liability cases.

Overall, an in-house interactive video command center can be a valuable tool for improving security at universities, hospitals, HOAs, and other organizations.

Canadian Central Stations:

Be Prepared for 2025. DICE Has the ONLY ULC Compliant Data Center!

There has been a lot of interest in the ULC Compliance in 2025. For this reason we are reposting this article.

Great news for Canadian central stations...DICE's UL data center in Bay City, Michigan, is now ULC compliant for Canada!

Any central station that has dealers in Canada and the United States can now be hosted in the DICE center and operate in both countries simultaneously. Even central stations that are not using Matrix Interactive, or any other DICE product, can take advantage of the ULC compliance.

That's because by 2025, ULC has stated that central stations must have redundancy - two facilities, at least 500 miles apart. It's a massive investment for most central stations. The option here is to build your own or run it in DICE data centers and take advantage of all of our additional infrastructure benefits as well.

We are the first and only data center to be ULC Compliant! If you do not want to make the investment of building your own data center, give us a call to see how we can cut your costs and help you to be ULC Listed.
