Q: Does Matrix Interactive Alarm & Video allow for integration with any AI analytics?

A: Matrix Interactive is an open platform and has integration with virtually all Artificial Intelligence (AI) providers.

 

Today, Matrix supports the most advanced analytic technologies in the market. However, we will be adding many other AI options in the near future.

 

In addition, changing AI providers in Matrix is an easy mix and match. You can easily choose various AI analytic providers with just a few clicks. That means you can select one AI provider for one camera and another AI provider for another camera - even at the same location!

A Review of Updates to the Latest Version of Matrix Interactive Alarm & Video

We've got a lot of great new and exciting features in Matrix, but we can't forget the smaller updates as we release a new version. Here are a couple of highlights of the new release.

 

PBX Whitelist 

New Page! The PBX Whitelist page allows users to whitelist IPs. Users can also quickly add camera IPs to assist with troubleshooting camera issues. See the PBX Whitelist documentation for instructions on how to utilize this page.


Schedules in Camera Setup 

Users can now access account schedules via the View Schedules option available within Camera Setup. This option allows users to quickly view and manage account schedules. See the Camera Setup documentation for information on using this option.


Report Dashboard 

New Page! The Report Dashboard page provides users with meaningful alarm event data grouped by various metrics. Administrative users can view and export operator efficiency data on this page. See the Report Dashboard documentation for instructions on how to utilize this page.


Add NVR Devices 

Users can now add devices connected to an NVR via the Add NVR option available within Camera Setup. This option allows users to quickly add multiple devices connected to an NVR. Previously, users had to add each device individually. See the Camera Setup documentation for instructions on how to quickly add NVR connected devices.


Site Logo Setup 

New Page! The Site Logo Setup page allows users to update the logo that displays on their Matrix site webpage. Logos assigned here will display on the login page and in the upper left corner of Matrix. See the Site Logo Setup documentation for instructions on how to utilize this page.


Tech Assist 

New mobile application! The new Tech Assist app allows technicians to easily manage and troubleshoot subscriber account zones, contacts, and more. This app is available on both Google and Apple stores. See the Tech Assist documentation for instructions on how to use the application.}


SMS Notify Message 

New Page! The SMS Notify Message page allows users to set the default message sent to contacts who receive SMS notifications when alarms are received on their accounts. See the Notify Message documentation for instructions on how to manage notify messages.


UL Splash Screen 

The new Matrix menu option, UL Notice, will display relevant UL compliance information required for UL inspections.



Saving Monitoring Layouts 

When updating Monitoring layouts, users will now have access to the Save For User option. This allows users to save the layout to their profile only.

Another Great AICC Meeting and a Busy GSX Security Conference

September was a whirlwind month for The New DICE! I attended the AICC conference in Chicago, hosted by Intertek. AICC is a key committee within The Monitoring Association. I also had the opportunity to connect with industry peers at the GSX security conference in Orlando (seen here with Altronix founder Alan Forman and Phillippe Forman).


While others have downsized, New DICE has continued to invest in growth, building the largest development team in the industry. This commitment ensures we deliver the most innovative and reliable solutions to our customers.


Looking forward to reconnecting with industry friends at the upcoming TMA conference in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
