This Weekend At St. Paul's

This Weekend in Worship

We continue looking at Discipleship this week. As disciples of Jesus we are invited to share what Jesus means to us. Each of us has a personal faith story entitled, “What does Jesus mean to me?”

This is a good opportunity to write our story.

This week's message, "Disciple Making: Invited to Share," is based on Jeremiah 28:5-9, Romans 7:1-13 & Matthew 10:34-42.

Our weekend worship times are:

  • Saturday - 5:00 pm Traditional Worship with Communion
  • Sunday - 9:00 am Contemporary Worship with Communion
  • Sunday - 10:30 am Contemporary Worship with Communion
  • Sunday - 12:00pm Spanish Worship with Communion

Come worship with us!

Dear St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Family,

As many of you know, we have experienced ongoing technical difficulties with our 10:30 AM Sunday service livestream. Despite our team's best efforts to resolve these issues, we have unfortunately not yet found a reliable solution. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused.

To ensure you can still worship with us from home without interruption, we are pausing the livestream for the next couple of months while we explore permanent solutions. In the meantime, we are transitioning to a recorded format.

The New Plan: We will record the 9:00 AM service and upload it to our YouTube channel so it is ready to view at 10:30 AM. This allows you to continue your Sunday routine at the same time, though the video will no longer be live.

What Changes: We will no longer send out a livestream link in advance.

How to Watch the Service:

  1.  Subscribe: Ensure you are subscribed to our YouTube channel by clicking HERE

  2.  Turn on Notifications: Click the notification bell on our channel so you are instantly notified when the service video is uploaded at 10:30 AM.

  3.  Watch Anytime: You can access the video directly on YouTube anytime after 10:30 AM on Sunday.

Thank you so much for your patience, grace, and understanding as we navigate these technical challenges.

Warmly, The St. Paul's Church Team

Please help and support the family of Firefighter Specialist Rob Olson

We are looking for ways to support the family of Rob Olson, who is in critical condition in the hospital. He is the father of two girls in our school. In addition to our prayers we can assist the family by participating in the following GoFundMe. Our support joins with the Los Angeles County Fireman's Fund in assisting this family.

VBS Recap

And just like that, VBS 2026: Rainforest Falls has come to a close!

First, thank you to everyone in our congregation and community who helped make VBS possible. Whether you helped decorate, led a crew, ran a station, bought supplies, or even took home a VBS prep bag to cut out leaves, we truly could not have had such an amazing week without you!

This year at VBS, we focused on how incredible God is and how we are truly “WOW’d” by Him. We learned that He is our Creator, that He knows everything, that He is our safe place, that He is love, and that even though VBS has come to an end, God never does. WOW GOD!

This year, we had more than 300 kids participate in VBS, from preschoolers in our preschool camp all the way through 5th grade. We also had more than 100 volunteers, ranging from middle school students to adults, who dedicated their time and energy to making this week so special.

Although you may have seen a lot of me, Mr. Kessler — otherwise known as Dr. Flutterbee — I especially want to give a huge shoutout to Janice Mansfield and Shannon Lavigne for helping make VBS happen this year. They dedicated more time and effort into VBS this year than you can even imagine!

I already can’t wait for next year!

Sincerely,

DCE Kessler O’Brien
