Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Mel Schlueter

Scripture Reader

Here at St. Paul's, we truly value our volunteers who commit so much time and effort into ensuring the success of our various ministries.

Meet Mel Schlueter. Mel volunteers to read scripture during worship services. Scripture readers step up to the lectern and read the chosen scripture directly from their printed bulletin. They are given the scripture in advance to practice.

Mel says, "God gave me the ability to speak in front of large groups. That is why I enjoy serving as a scripture reader because I can share the Gospel with others. I also participate in this ministry simply because I was asked and am still able."

If you would enjoy sharing the Gospel this way like Mel or if you would like to hone your public speaking skills, contact Gail Kanneg at gmskanneg@gmail.com.
