A Message from Rev Linda

Every year, at the beginning of our fiscal year, we have an Annual Meeting of the members of the Center. This is where we elect (or re-elect) members to our Board of Trustees, and where we report on how the Center is doing financially, as well as set plans for the future.

Everyone is encouraged to attend this meeting, which is after the gathering on the fourth Sunday of October. Only people who have become members are entitled to vote on issues, but everyone’s input is welcome.

As our country moves toward the mid-term elections in November, it is wise for us to realize that our words and our votes count, whether here at the Center or on the local and national stage. Not voting is like not deciding what you want for your life.

I encourage you to take the extra hour and participate in our annual meeting. There will be snacks available between the gathering and the meeting. If all goes well, we should be finished before 1:30.

Every Sunday throughout the year, at 11:45 am, we will be offering the Shaktipat Blessings. It is a sacred, ancient spiritual practice where divine cosmic energy is directly transmitted from an initiate to a seeker.

Affirmative Prayer by Cathy Day, RScP

There’s One Life, One Power, One Infinite, intelligent energy through which all creation came into being. It is known by many names and it’s impulse is to create.

I know this force, this power is in every atom, every cell, every bone in my body. It is the air that I breathe. It is the lungs that I breathe through. It is the pulse and the processes that operate within me and within every living thing.

This One Power seeks greater expression of love and life, peace and power, beauty and joy through every one of its creations, and I being one of them have this impulse to be and create.

So, knowingly using the Law of Mind, I cultivate my highest thoughts of myself, of my loved ones, of my communities, of my world, knowing that this thought is creative, knowing that this thought is acted upon to reveal Greater Love, Peace and Beauty.

I release needing to know how this is accomplished for it is accomplished by means far beyond what I could Imagine. I know It works because I see it work in my life and experience both with the good thoughts and the not so good thoughts.

So I think about what I think about and I think about love and light and life and peace and beauty and joy for it to come to fruit in my experience of life.

I release this thought to the Law of Mind that knows exactly what to do and how to do it to facilitate the life of my desires. I give thanks for this, knowing, for all the teachers I’ve ever had who brought me to this place of knowing and I smile and gratefully receive my unfolding experience now!

And so it is!
