Your Monthly News & Updates
Welcome to the March edition of United Way of West Central Minnesota's monthly e-newsletter. We have a lot of great information to share with you this month. As we all look forward to spring, it is our hope that In this issue finds you and your families well and comfortable.

For those who have still yet to file their taxes, we wanted to mention MyFreeTaxes.com, which provides tax preparation and submission services at absolutely no charge, is still a fantastic option and a major help for many of our neighbors. We have an important public service announcement regarding COVID-19 Vaccines. Also, as we look forward to the future, we are seeking programming volunteers as well as 3-4 new board members to help us make a lasting difference in the lives of West Central Minnesota families. FamilyWize, a wonderful prescription discount program is changing its name to SingleCare. Be sure to note this and check out their resources for you. And, don't forget to check out the work we have done on our website makeover.

This month, we also are asking for feedback in the form of a very brief survey to help us navigate during these uncharted times. Our hope is this survey will assist our board in providing the programs and resources most useful to those we serve. Please feel free to contact our team with any questions or needs you may have.
MyFreeTaxes is a resource of the United Way in partnership with the IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program that provides free tax preparation and filing for no cost. Click the button to learn more, and to take advantage of this excellent resource.
Get Involved - Join Our Board
We are currently seeking members of our West Central Minnesota communities to join our board of directors. This is an opportunity to make a significant difference in our area, and to have a front-line role in making a real difference. Interested in helping but aren't available to be on our board? We are always seeking volunteers to assist us with programming as well. For more information, contact us!
FamilyWize is now SingleCare
We have some exciting news to share with you today! FamilyWize, which has been helping United Way communities save on their prescription medications since 2008, is officially combining our brand with SingleCare, a national leader in prescription savings cards. FamilyWize will soon be known as SingleCare!
COVID-19 Vaccine Update
As the world continues to battle COVID-19 and vaccines continue to become available, we wanted to remind everyone, especially those who are older or immuno-compromised to be proactive. We urge you to contact your provider or clinic to become immunized yourself. Many believe they should just wait until they are offered a vaccine. However, for the health of everyone, take that next step and reach out.

If your healthcare provider is Carris Health, call (320) 200-3200. Public Health has access to a limited supply of vaccines. More information is available by calling (320) 231-7800 Ext. 4
Spread the word and let your friends and family know as well. We are all in this together!
Website Overhaul
Last month we shared that changes were coming to the website and we invite you to visit today and see the changes. We have been working to make the website more effective and more useful for our friends and neighbors.
