    "People Helping People" is the theme of this Saturday's annualBowling Green International Festival in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Peace Corps. Experience this International Paradise of nationalities as we come together to proudly share our unique cultures. The festival is a traditional celebration that honors the heritage and diversity among our residents through music, dance, demonstrations, authentic foreign foods, edu-tainment activities, cultural displays and an international bazaar.

    Sample the flavors & styles with plenty of food and shopping opportunities, plus multiple stages will offer tons of unique entertainment. Admission is $3 per person with children 12 & under admitted for free. Purchase the Restaurant Discount Card at the gate, good for 10% off at 38 local establishments, and get $1 admission.     Capitol Arts Alliance: 30 Days of 30 Years

    The iconic Capitol Arts Center in downtown Bowling Green is celebrating its 30th Anniversary since reopening after renovations in 1981. They have already hosted some amazing events, and the fun continues this Friday with a free Street Dance featuring Skip Bond and the Fugitives. The music starts at 7:30 p.m., so come on down to Fountain Square and have a rockin' start to the weekend!

    Then on Saturday, another downtown Fountain Square resident, 440 Main Restaurant, will host a Wine Tasting Reception in support of the Capitol. Featuring high end wines and hors d'oeuvres, the event will also include a select group of items available for purchase through a silent auction.
