Call for Reviewers:
New Jersey Audubon is seeking grant reviewers for the Watershed Restoration and Community Empowerment Program. Reviewers will assess, rank, and provide feedback on grant applications and supporting documentation received for this program. Reviewers are volunteers who come from a variety of technical, programmatic, and administrative backgrounds in academic, government, commercial, and nonprofit organizations who focus on stewardship and conservation. All reviewers are carefully screened for conflicts of interest to ensure a fair process for applicants. The overall time commitment will be approximately 10 hours over the course of approximately six weeks from April 1 to May 15, 2024. This time commitment includes a one-hour training on or about April 5 and a two-to-three-hour review session on or about May 15. Reviewers will be asked to review no more than 3 applications. Applications will be scored and commented on individually and ranked as a team.

The Urban Airshed Reforestation Program will be planting trees in a few South Jersey cities this spring!
All tree planting events are 9am-12pm unless otherwise noted, rain or shine. Tools and gloves will be provided. We are capping volunteers for each event, volunteer groups will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. All events are open to the general public and are suitable for all ages.

Camden FireWorks Next Exhibition, Storytelling Quilts, features the work of local artists honoring their own personal histories by using textiles.
April 7 from 3 to 5 pm, Camden Fireworks, 1813 S. Broadway, Camden
Celebrating the rich history of storytelling quilts and the artists, like Barbara, who make each piece unique.
Barbara Hayes is a master handquilter whose work "Peace" will be on view at the exhibition.
Barbara shares, "I have been quilting for 40+ years and have enjoyed letting my work evolve over time. Hand quilting is my preferred method, I love to see the fabric come alive as I add texture. I find it exciting to choose fabrics to create each piece."
