Petersburg, VA – During the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) Annual Meeting, the organization honored Southside Regional Medical Center CEO, Trent E. Nobles, FACHE, with its 4 Under 40 Award that recognizes healthcare leaders with unparalleled passion and drive who are making significant contributions to healthcare in Virginia. Awardees are strong leaders who embrace collaboration, seek opportunities to go the extra mile, and aspire to fuel the inspiration of those around them.

Along with Trent, this year’s award recipients include Bon Secours Richmond Health System Forensic Nursing Services Manager Sara Jennings; Kari Lightner, Executive Director of Ambulatory Services at Bath Community Hospital; and Sentara Obici Hospital Vice President of Operations Jessica Lowder.

Trent brings more than 10 years of administrative experience in healthcare operations to SRMC. Prior to being named CEO in 2016, he most recently served as SRMC’s chief operating officer. Before joining SRMC in 2015, he was associate administrator and vice president of surgical services for HCA’s Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, VA. He has worked in hospitals in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Originally from South Carolina, he earned a Bachelor of Science in business management from Clemson University and a Master of Science in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston. Trent is very involved in the local community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association, and also holds board positions with the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and YMCA. In addition, he is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Please join Southside Regional Medical Center in congratulating Trent on earning this important recognition.
