Mentors should plan to keep in contact by text or email once a week, meet in person once every 4-6 weeks, and attend school sponsored extracurricular activities in which their student participates. For more information or to apply to be a mentor, please look at the Cristo Rey website, http://www.cristoreyatlanta.org/Volunteer/Mentor-a-Student or contact Ann Curvin at acurvin@cristoreyatlanta.org .

Have you started your Cursillo?  The Cursillo method takes a Christian beyond a passive belief in God to a daily interaction with God and His people, helping one to become more committed in Christ. A Cursillo weekend is not simply a retreat, but rather the beginning of a person’s life-long growth as a Christian.  If you are interested in deepening your faith and growing in Christian community, Cursillo may be just what you’re looking for.
The Cursillo Journey begins with a three-day weekend experience which invites Catholics to dive deeper into the well of our faith and personally connect with God’s unlimited love. The Atlanta Archdiocese Cursillo weekends will be held at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers. Weekends begin Thursday evening and conclude Sunday afternoon. (Men, October 10-13: Women October 17-20)
