For the last several years our Easter consists of loading up the Passat and heading south to Buckeye where we, our daughter, her family, and a few other guests all converge on our son-in-law's parent's place.
Besides sharing a great meal and afternoon together, their acre-plus property is the perfect place for our 2 grandsons to enjoy the annual Easter egg hunt! This grassy expanse has many fun obstacles with nooks and crannies to hide dozens of colorful eggs for the boys to test
their skills of perception and observation.
I will admit the older these smart young men get, the more resourceful
we old folks have to have to get in hiding those darn eggs!
With the above experience in mind, I looked back to last Easter in hopes of gleaning some ideas for a previous Arizona Quilts Easter egg hunt and quickly realized we were actually closed to in-store shopping this
time last year.
WOW, a lot has happened in the last 12 months - almost to the point that I feel like I have tire marks all over my body!
So now ladies and gentlemen it's time once again for the
Arizona Quilts Easter Egg Hunt!
Although there is no grassy expanse to hide those multi-colored eggs in,
there are thousands of bolts of fabric and nooks and crannies aplenty
to help conceal the presence of the eggs.
Finding one of those brightly colored eggs will definitely "sweeten" your fabric hunting experience as we head into Easter weekend!
Be sure and stop by this week and put your skills of perception and observation to work to find an egg.
If you happen to find one, you are then eligible to draw from our prize basket! You can only find one a day but we will be having the hunt all week long, so we hope to see you more than once.
Happy Easter Quilting!
