For the last several years our Easter consists of loading up the Passat and heading south to Buckeye where we, our daughter, her family, and a few other guests all converge on our son-in-law's parent's place.
Besides sharing a great meal and afternoon together, their acre-plus property is the perfect place for our 2 grandsons to enjoy the annual Easter egg hunt! This grassy expanse has many fun obstacles with nooks and crannies to hide dozens of colorful eggs for the boys to test
their skills of perception and observation.
I will admit the older these smart young men get, the more resourceful
we old folks have to have to get in hiding those darn eggs!

With the above experience in mind, I looked back to last Easter in hopes of gleaning some ideas for a previous Arizona Quilts Easter egg hunt and quickly realized we were actually closed to in-store shopping this
time last year.
WOW, a lot has happened in the last 12 months - almost to the point that I feel like I have tire marks all over my body!

So now ladies and gentlemen it's time once again for the
Arizona Quilts Easter Egg Hunt!
Although there is no grassy expanse to hide those multi-colored eggs in,
there are thousands of bolts of fabric and nooks and crannies aplenty
to help conceal the presence of the eggs.
Finding one of those brightly colored eggs will definitely "sweeten" your fabric hunting experience as we head into Easter weekend!
Be sure and stop by this week and put your skills of perception and observation to work to find an egg.
If you happen to find one, you are then eligible to draw from our prize basket! You can only find one a day but we will be having the hunt all week long, so we hope to see you more than once.

Happy Easter Quilting!

This week we are highlighting
Sanctuary
by 3 Sisters for Moda Fabrics

A place of refuge...whether it's a field of flourishing blooms or
a single stem in a vase, the 3 Sisters' Sanctuary is filled with flowers.
The bouquets are fanciful and eclectic, a mix of bold and dainty,
and they create a feeling of harmony with shades of
blush and rose, crystal and tranquil aqua.

Upcoming Classes
Have It Your Way Tote w/ Nanette begins on
Fri., Apr. 9th for 3 sessions (Sessions 2 & 3 will be Apr., 12th & 19th). This bag, called the Professional Tote, can have many uses – a picnic bag with room for beverages in the side pockets and pockets inside for utensils, plates and food items. Placemats can be made to match. It can also be a diaper bag and the many pockets helps keep all the baby items organized or use it as a professional bag for taking to classes or work. A small laptop might even fit in the center pocket. Choosing fabrics to match your purpose will make this a fun and versatile bag.

Finish It Workshop w/ Tami will be held on Sat., April 10th from 10:30am-3:30pm. Do you have any unfinished Judy Niemeyer projects? Come sew with us and get it done!

Under Construction w/ Nanette is a new monthly class that will be held the 3rd Thursday of each month. Do you have that bag, quilt, wall hanging or project that is under construction and you have just come to a stop and need help to finish? Then this is the class for you! Bring it in and Nanette will help you get that "under construction" project completed! This month it will be held on
April 15th.

Summer Solstice w/ Tami will begin on Sat., April 17th for 3 sessions (Session 2-May8th, Session 3-June 5th). Have you ever looked at a Judy Niemeyer paper piecing quilt and said ... I wish I could make that? If so then this is a great place to begin. The easy, simple layout makes this a perfect project to start your paper piecing journey. The finished quilt measures approximately 60"x60". It is a fun pattern to piece!

ABC's of Quilting w/ Susan will begin on Wed., Apr. 21st for 5 sessions from 9am-12pm. This is a great class for beginners or those who might want to freshen up their skills. Even if you have taken her class & would like to re-visit this, stop in and Susan can customize something just for you!
Pillow Talk w/ Lori will be held on
Fri., Apr. 23rd from 9:30am-3:30pm. Here is your chance to learn how to make a quality throw pillow. In this class, you will build on your existing techniques and grow in your skills! You will learn how to install a lapped closure zipper and you will learn piping hints that can be applied in other creative projects! Once you experience the fun of making a throw pillow out of fabrics you love, you may be asked by friends & family (especially those grandchildren) to make a custom throw pillow for each of them. Trust me...it is a lot of fun!!
Pick & Play - Learn to Applique w/ Nanette will be held on Mon., Apr. 26th from 9:30am-3:30pm. Learn to machine applique and imagine all the possibilities when you choose from any of the Patch Abilities patterns available. It's a great time to try out some pattern stitches on your machine. You will leave this class with a completed wall hanging.

One Block Wonder w/ Tami begins on Sat., May 1st from 9:30am-3:30pm for 2 sessions (Session 2 will be May 22nd). Use one fabric to make a unique one-of-a-kind kaleidoscope block quilt. This is a two day class with time inbetween to complete your blocks. Come have fun and see the amazing results!
Tic-Tac-Mo w/ Lori will be held on Tues., May 4th from 9:30am-3:30pm.
This is a golden opportunity to make a simple table runner that will add an
extra flare under a center piece or flower arrangement. It is a fun way to display and enjoy the fabric you love!
As always, we thank you for your friendship & your business.

Stay safe and happy quilting!
