Dear BBCWW family (Birmingham Bible Church World Wide),
As I sit here in my secret place reflecting on all that the Lord has done in these past seven years, it causes me to be filled with sincere praise.
In 2009, God began speaking to me about starting a church. I remember it like it was yesterday. God told me that what He was sharing with me was not for that year but would come to pass in his timing. In 2014, God spoke through my wife, Pamela Lenore Mason, that it was time. We had no clue how to do what God was asking but learned to trust and follow Him even through the darkness.
Birmingham Bible Church, formerly known as The Church of the Way International, was planted by God on November 19, 2014, in the blessed funeral home of Mr. and Mrs. Dante Jelks. In the funeral home, we held Bible studies, worship celebrations, outreach activities, and much more. God sent many people to help do what God was calling us to do.
Our two years in the funeral home were blessed, and we will never forget those humble beginnings. We later moved to C.W. Hayes School, where more explosive ministry took place through outreach, worship, small groups, youth and children services, and more. The Lord is to be forever praised for how far He has brought us. This is the Lord's doing, and it's marvelous in our sight. We continue to be guided by the Spirit, living out the Word and pointing people to the way.
This month will be a month of celebrations. We will celebrate our Heavenly Father for helping us become the church that He desires us to be. The number seven represents completion. We know and believe that 2022 is going to be a great year of new beginnings. God has completed a good work in us and is ready to do a new thing in all of our lives. We hope that you and your family are excited about all the new beginnings that will take place in 2022.
As we celebrate this month, we will honor the Lord by partaking in the Lord's supper every Sunday; as is our custom, we will sow our annual sacrificial gift in increments of seven. Whatever the Lord is leading you to sacrifice in the month of November, follow His leading.
BBC Worldwide, the best is yet to come! Let's continue to be the church that God is pleased with and is using to carry out the great commission.
