Greetings!
Spring is a season of renewal - and we’re seeing that energy not only in the beautiful blooms across Howard County, but also throughout our work and in the connections we’re building across our community.
Our team has been out in the community listening, learning, and strengthening relationships with donors, nonprofit partners, and neighbors. We’ve welcomed past board members, nonprofits, and professional advisors to Athol Manor, connected with individuals and families interested in giving through the Community Foundation, and engaged with those seeking support through our grantmaking.
These moments - both large and small - deepen our understanding of community needs and opportunities and strengthen the work we are able to do together.
As we move through tax season, it’s also a natural time to think ahead. Whether you’re exploring new ways to give, supporting the causes you care about, or planning for the future, the Community Foundation is here as your partner - helping to connect your generosity with the needs and opportunities across Howard County.
We are especially grateful to our professional advisor partners, including accountants, financial advisors, attorneys, and other finance professionals - who play an important role in advancing philanthropy by guiding their clients in thoughtful and impactful giving. We welcome the opportunity to work alongside you and your clients and would be glad to connect with you and your team to explore how we can partner to increase philanthropy, strengthen nonprofits, and improve quality of life across our community.
Our team is grateful to be part of this work with you, and we are here as your partners, helping connect generosity to the heart of philanthropy in Howard County.
We hope you will join us for our Spring Party on May 14 at Elkridge Furnace Inn. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate kindness and caring, and connect with others who share a commitment to our community. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now, and we hope to see you there.
With gratitude, Melissa
