MEET OUR NEW YOUTH DIRECTOR

STEPHANIE KAINE

youth@shaareikodesh.org

Random fun facts about me:

·     I love going on nature trails.

·     My golden doodle is named Simba because my Hebrew name is Sima and I wanted us both to be named after the Lion King.

·     Before work every morning you’ll catch me at the gym.

·     I’ve been to Israel and had a second Bat Mitzvah at Masada.

·     I’ve read every Danielle Steel book ever written.

My name is Stephanie Kaine. I’m a South Florida native - born and raised in Parkland, Florida. I attended the University of Central Florida where I got my Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology. During my time in undergrad I was on the Panhellenic executive board and was the Vice President of my sorority. Following that, I received my MBA in healthcare management from Lynn University.

During the day, I work at an eating disorder treatment center and have a passion for helping people, specifically the youth. That’s why I decided to also take on the role as Youth Director. I want to be a light, a motivation, and a person that people feel like they can go to regardless of the circumstance.

I believe my Jewish connection shaped me into who I am today. My love for people, for my family, for nature, for my golden doodle Simba have all tied back into my Judaism. My hope is to help everyone remember their core values and show them that Judaism isn’t just found in prayer, it’s found in the everyday little things.

JFS is in need of a volunteer who will commit to delivering food pantry items to clients who reside on our campus in Boca Raton on a bi-weekly basis (every other Thursday morning). Volunteers arrive on campus at 8:30 am to meet our food pantry truck in front of the Gould House. Volunteers are then given a list of JFS clients and their apartment numbers, along with a bin full of pre-bagged food packages to deliver to the client's door.

Once Gould House resident deliveries are completed, the volunteers drive over to the Weinberg House

(on the same campus) and make deliveries to the residents there. Start date is April 25th.
