"New Life in Christ"
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
April is a season when we begin to see new life all around us. After the gray of winter, green shoots begin pushing through the soil, trees start to bud, and the world slowly fills with color again. It is fitting that during this same season the Church celebrates Easter. In the resurrection of Jesus, God shows us His greatest promise: He brings life out of death and hope out of what once seemed finished. We see a small picture of that promise right here at Christ the King as our new agricultural program gets underway. As students plant seeds and watch them sprout and grow, they are reminded that God is the One who gives growth. Just as seeds hidden in the soil rise to new life, so through Christ’s death and resurrection God has given us new life as His people. May this season of spring and Easter remind us that God is always at work bringing growth, renewal, and life to His people and to our Christ the King community.

Help us get Christ the King ready for the school year at our two upcoming workdays! We’ll be tackling a variety of projects, including hanging TV monitors, installing a new water fountain, tilling a garden bed for our new Agricultural program (we’re planting over 100 strawberry plants!), moving larger items, and taking care of many other hands-on tasks around campus. Whether you can lend a hand for a short time or stay for the day, your help makes a real difference as we prepare this space for our students. Thank you for being part of building something special at Christ the King!

With our inaugural Field Day quickly approaching, we are excited to welcome K–8th grade students, parents, and teachers from Immanuel Washington and Immanuel Rosebud to Christ the King Lutheran High School on Friday, May 15 (9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.). We are anticipating around 350 guests for a day filled with fun games, campus tours, laughter, lunch, popsicles, and fellowship on our beautiful campus.
To make this day a success, we are in need of volunteers! We are looking for help with Set up, Kitchen help, Station Leaders, and Clean-up. If you are willing to lend a hand, please click the link below to sign up. We would greatly appreciate your support in making this a joyful and memorable day for our students and families!
We are also inviting monetary donations to help fund this fun-filled day for our Future Lions. Please consider giving through the link below to help offset lunch costs, student Field Day T-shirts, and supply costs. When donating through the link below, type "Field Day" in the "note/comment" section. Thank you!

| | Our hands-on electives are coming to life as students learn by doing and steward God’s creation. Our Agricultural program is launching this spring and summer, with Math Department Chair Donna Krull leading a Farm-to-Table class beginning this August. We are thankful for Franklin County 4-H Program Director Julie Hilkerbaumer, who is helping establish the program by donating planter boxes, assisting with tilling, and guiding the planting of strawberry plants. Julie will also lead a “Little Lion Club” for students at Immanuel Washington and Immanuel Rosebud, where they will grow seedlings through hands-on lessons before transferring them to Christ the King to continue growing. She is also providing an incubator for our summer camp, where 5th–8th graders will raise chickens and witness a live hatch day in July. Students will also have opportunities to go fishing on our beautiful campus pond—where founding student Cooper Krull recently caught a fish during a Visit Day! We are also excited to welcome Mr. Stacy Landers, a retired Principal Engineer and experienced shop teacher, who will lead our woodworking program and teach valuable craftsmanship skills. All of this is building toward a rich, Christ-centered educational experience—enroll at Christ the King today! | | | |

We invite you to keep Christ the King Lutheran High School in your prayers as 8th graders and incoming freshmen discern where to attend this coming year, and as we continue preparing for our inaugural school year. Keep our Lutheran grade schools in your prayers as well—Immanuel Rosebud as they seek to fill teaching positions, and Immanuel Washington as they move forward with an exciting new building project.
Pray With Us
“Lord Jesus, we thank You for the gift of Lutheran education. Continue to guide and bless Christ the King Lutheran High School, Immanuel Rosebud, and Immanuel Washington. Provide faithful teachers, strengthen students and families in their decisions, and establish all our schools in Your Word and truth. May all that is done be for Your glory and the good of Your people. Amen.”

Donor Highlight: Melvin Menke | |
Christ the King Lutheran High School would like to extend a special thank you to Melvin Menke for his extraordinarily generous donation to our Workshop Program. Through his gift of over 80 tools and pieces of equipment, our shop is now fully stocked and ready for students to begin learning valuable hands-on skills.
His donation provides the tools needed for students to explore areas such as woodworking, welding, HVAC, locksmithing, and other skilled trades. These resources will allow students at Christ the King to develop practical skills, work with professional-grade equipment, and experience the kind of hands-on learning that reflects our commitment to meaningful Christian education.
Through this remarkable gift, our students will have opportunities to explore trades, develop practical abilities, and grow in confidence as they learn.
Thank you, Mr. Menke, for investing in the future of Christ the King students.
