Minute in the Word
"Jesus Seeks The Lost"
Summer is full of adventure — trips, camps, new experiences, and changing routines. But even in the middle of adventure, we all know what it feels like to be lost at times. We wander into worry, fear, guilt, or exhaustion.
That is why the theme of this year's Concordia Publishing House VBS, "Tropical Trek," brings such comforting news. Throughout the summer, many of our circuit churches will share that message. Jesus says in Luke 19:10, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Jesus does not wait for perfect people to find Him. He comes looking for sinners. He seeks the wandering, the hurting, and the weary.
What wonderful comfort for children and adults alike! No matter where life takes us this summer, Jesus knows exactly where we are. Through His Word and His promises, He continues to seek, forgive, and hold His people close.

Field Day was a tremendous success! It was a joy to welcome the students, parents, teachers, and staff from Immanuel Washington and Immanuel Rosebud to our campus. God blessed us with beautiful weather, wonderful volunteers, and a day full of laughter, games, and fellowship.
Students enjoyed sack races, the giant parachute, S-P-U-D, the 20-yard dash, sand volleyball, snacks, CTK temporary tattoos, fishing, basketball, lunch, campus tours, popsicles, tug-of-war, a kickball tournament, and a hula hoop contest!
We heard many encouraging comments throughout the day, but our favorite came from one student who said, “Wow! I could really see myself coming to school here one day.” God is so good!
Thank you to all of the talented and capable volunteers who simply saw a need and stepped in to help fill it. We are incredibly thankful for the many helping hands that made this day possible. Thank you to our station leaders, kitchen volunteers, setup and cleanup crews, teachers, and parents for bringing the children. Special thanks as well to Principal Nick Hopfensperger, Tabitha Holtmeyer, Sarah Delleart, and Principal Diane Berry for helping plan and organize this event.
We truly could not have done it without all of you. Thank you!

Signing Day #2
We recently had the privilege of hosting our second Signing Day as we welcomed Ruby (Freshman) and McKarra (Sophomore) to Christ the King Lutheran High School. These two outstanding young ladies will be wonderful additions to our Founding Class.
We thank God for Ruby and McKarra, as well as for their faithful and supportive families. We are excited to walk alongside them as they grow in faith, knowledge, and service during this historic first year at CTK.

Campus Improvements
Exciting things continue to happen around campus as we prepare for the upcoming school year!
This spring, we planted 100 strawberry plants, along with peppers and tomatoes, for our growing agricultural program. A special thank you to the Little Lion Garden Clubs at ILS in Washington and ILS in Rosebud for starting many of the seedlings that are now thriving at CTK.
Our school lobby also received a refresh! Fresh paint, new seating, and a newly installed office window have helped create a warm and welcoming entrance for students, families, and visitors. We invite you to schedule a visit and see the improvements for yourself.
In addition, security cameras have been installed around campus to further enhance the safety and security of our students, staff, and guests.
We thank God for His continued provision and for the many volunteers and supporters who help make these improvements possible.

| | God's Blessings on Your Retirement, Mrs. Berry! | We thank God for the faithful service and ministry of Diane Berry, Principal of Immanuel Lutheran School in Rosebud. Through her years of dedication, care, and Christ-centered witness, she has helped shape the lives of countless students and families. We are especially thankful for her partnership with Christ the King Lutheran High School and for the many ways she has served with love, wisdom, and faithfulness. As Diane enters retirement, we pray that the Lord richly bless this new chapter of life with joy, peace, and continued opportunities to share His love. As Scripture reminds us, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Thank you, Diane, for faithfully planting the seeds of God’s Word for so many years. God’s blessings to you in your retirement! |

We are excited to share that Christ the King Lutheran High School has officially been accepted as an Affiliate Member of the Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA)!
LESA is a longstanding organization that supports Lutheran schools, families, and communities throughout the St. Louis area and beyond. This partnership will provide opportunities for collaboration, encouragement, and connection with other Lutheran educators and schools.
We are thankful for the continued support and relationships God is providing as Christ the King prepares to open in August 2026. We look forward to growing alongside other faithful Lutheran schools as we continue our mission of providing Christ-centered education for the next generation.
