Community Action is providing services, but all in-person services have been suspended at all locations until further notice. The East County Resource Center remains open with limited walk-up services.

Volunteer Lawyer Program: Upcoming Clinics
New Legal Clinics Serving Farmworkers in Skagit County
The Skagit Volunteer Lawyer Program is excited to announce its new partnership with the CCS Farmworker Center! 

Beginning March 3rd and every 1st Wednesday of the month from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, financially eligible farmworkers and their families can visit the Farmworker Center to safely meet with offsite volunteer attorneys using provided computers about a range of civil legal needs. Services are offered regardless of immigration status. Click here to view flyer.
Virtual DACA Legal Clinic: Thursday March 18, time TBD.
The Skagit Volunteer Lawyer Program is excited to announce the resumption of its free DACA Legal Workshops in exclusively a virtual format!

Financially eligible applicants in Skagit County and San Juan County should review the instructions on how to apply for an upcoming workshop! The first workshop is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, March 18th. Helpful information about financial assistance and supporting documentation will be provided. Only registered applicants will be provided the meeting credentials. Eviction Prevention Assistance: Restarting March 8
Eviction Prevention Assistance is emergency funding to prevent eviction for eligible households who have been financially impacted by the COVID pandemic. 

Beginning March 8th, our Eviction Prevention Team will be taking calls on Mondays from 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. to schedule eligibility appointments. If people call outside of hours, they will be able to fill out a preliminary application online on the Eviction Prevention Page on Community Action's website. Motel Program Update
The Motel program has been extended however, all program spots are currently full. Interested individual above the age of 65+ or age 60 with a disability can apply for the housing interest pool to be referred- (360) 416-7585.
