THE COMPASS CHRONICLE
Mobile Food Pantry
We were so happy to co-host another mobile food pantry on Wednesday, August 26, to support our local community. We had a tremendous response and were able to provide 50 lbs. of food for each family. Thanks to our staff and our partners at Mid-South Food Bank we helped serve 300 families!
Nashville Summit on Mental Health and Substance Use
We want to thank everyone who attended our Nashville Summit on Mental Health and Substance Use last week! We greatly enjoyed working with our co-host, Mental Health America of the MidSouth and appreciate all of our presenters for doing such a great job.
Courtney Loveless, our Assistant Director of Admissions and Business Development, provided information surrounding animal-assisted therapy and we had the pleasure of meeting her "co-speaker," therapy dog Lyla.

Lyla hopes to see everyone again at the next Nashville Summit!
Kids Corner
Our patients made some signs to display around the building to spread positivity. They enjoyed "getting their hands dirty" while creating art!
We are a bully-free zone here at Compass Intervention Center. Recently, our patients made signs to display around the building to show that they are against bullying. They believe it's wrong because, "It lowers self-esteem, it hurts people and it's just bad!"
Welcome to the team!
We would like to introduce our newest staff member, Heather, who is joining our team as an admissions coordinator! We know that Heather will make a great addition to the admissions staff and are thrilled that she joined the Compass team. She states, "I am excited to join the Compass team because Compass has an awesome work culture, and I love that everyone is willing to help each other. I have never seen that in a work environment before. The staff here is genuinely excited about helping the patients."
