Christ the King
Where God's Love Comes To Life
May 7th, 2020
New This Week at Christ the King
State of the Church

If you were unable to attend the State of the Church webinar on April 30th, we recorded it and have attached it below. During the State of the Church Webinar, Pastor Nate, Pastor Dara, and two council members gave updates on how things are going at Christ the King during our time apart. They offered some updates on our financial position, and what staff have been working on. They also gave some insight into our initial plans for re-entry and what it will look like in conjunction with the Badger Bounce Back plan, once it is activated.
Still Looking for Bloggers!
We'd like to invite YOU to be part of the CtK blog! We're curious to hear how you are seeing God's love coming to life from your homes. Are you seeing it through worship? Or maybe your kids did something that reminded you of God's love. Or maybe...your mail carrier or a grocery store worker or a nurse you know?

We like to have one blog post every week, that's usually 300-500 words in length. Pictures and videos are welcome too! If you'd be interested in submitting a blog post, please send an email to Maureen , who will get you on the schedule.

So are YOU seeing God's love coming to life?
Virtual Book Clubs:
Join Pastor Nate or Pastor Dara for a weekly online book club, starting next week, the week of May 11th. There is still room for more! Please fill out the online registration form so we know which book study you would like to attend. The descriptions are below.

Book Clubs will be happening via Zoom, so in addition to your book, you'll want to make sure you have a device with a working camera and microphone.

Immediate Need for Mowers!
We are still in need of people to help with the lawn mowing for the summer. There are two riding lawn mowers so we would like 6 teams of two. We would like to have 5 more people to volunteer. Mowers must be 18 years or older or must have a valid driver's license and an adult present to operate if the rider is under 18. Teams are scheduled on a rotating basis. So, if we have enough teams, you may only have to mow a few times during the summer. If you have questions or would like to sign up, contact Shirley. Space is also available to sign up as a sub.

First, you can either mail in your offering as we have staff picking up the mail. Secondly, see the link below for additional ways to give electronically. This link will take you to our website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office at 788-6492 as messages are being checked as often as we can. Thank you for your continued stewardship.

During these times of Covid-19 and physical distancing, the Christ the King “Knit-Wits” are still making and praying over prayer shawls and finding solace as they are knitting. The need for the shawls continues in our community at large. If you are a knitter and wish to share with others during this time, we have yarn and simple patterns available for you to participate. They can deliver the items to you. If you have any questions, please contact Julie Meitzen either by email or by calling 920-450-9252.
Christ in Our Home Devotionals

We have put out the current Christ in Our Home devotionals. They can be found in front of church next to the mailbox in the Rubbermaid tote. Please make sure the cover is replaced securely back on the tote once you've taken your devotional. Also, please note that in the tote are First Communion booklets. Those are for the First Communion students & their parents.
