Winterizing Your Small Boat: Time to Remove It from the Water!

A friendly reminder that it is essential to take the right steps to protect your small boat from the harsh elements. Removing your boat from the water for the winter not only helps extend its lifespan but also ensures it’s ready for a smooth launch come spring.

Check Your LINE!

L- Lock Your Lines Properly

Ensure your ropes are tied securely and won’t fail under pressure.

I- Inspect Frequently

Regularly check the condition of your lines to prevent wear and tear.

N- Never Leave Slack

Adjust the lines for tidal movement but avoid too much slack, which could cause instability.

E- Ensure Proper Cleat Use

Always wrap lines around cleats or other secure points to prevent slipping and ensure a tight hold.
