Memorial Day 2017

Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May. It was formerly known as Decoration Day and commemorates all men and women who have died in military service for the United States. Let us remember those who have given their lives so we may worship our Lord publicly and proudly.

Prayers for Our Church Family Members

We ask for prayers of comfort, love and strength for the family of Nancy Saulmon. Visitation for Nancy will be Tuesday (tomorrow) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church, The funeral is Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the church.

Also keep Stacie and Chris Pickering in your prayers as they grieve the loss of Stacie's son, Dakota.

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."  -- Matthew 11.28-30

Footsteps to Restoration: Ind. UM Childrens Home
Gress Chapel at the Indiana United Methodist Children's Home was built in 1936. Over the years, the youth residents have found it to be a place where they can find peace and tranquility. It was discovered earlier this year that the building interior needs some tender loving care which included laying new carpet throughout.

The Home is asking 120 friends to purchase carpet squares. so a fundraising goal can be reached. Each square is $100. Any donations above the goal will go toward future chapel renovations.  Just send a check to the Indiana United Methodist Children's Home, P.O. Box 747, Lebanon, IN 46052. On the check memo, please write "carpet."

Thank you for helping restore God's house!
