 "Then
Jacob made this vow: "If God will indeed be with me and protect me on this journey,
and if he will provide me with food and clothing, and if I return safely to my father's home, then the Lord will certainly be my God. 22 And this memorial pillar I have set up will become a place for worshiping God, and I will present to God a tenth of everything he gives me." -- Genesis 28.20-22

Our Oct. 21 Tenderloin Dinner: How Can You Serve?
The Tenderloin Dinner is a great opportunity to be in service to God. Our last dinner for 2017 is Oct. 21 from 4-7.

How can you help? You can:
  1. attend and bring friends,
  2. pray for its success, and
  3. sign up with Bobbie Welker for one of the many volunteer positions needed the day of the meal (754-7693 or bobrobw@live.com).

We also ask that everyone who is able, to donate two pies for the desserts needed. Thank you for your extravagant generosity! God bless.

1st Service Help Needed for 2018
mother-daughter-smile.jpg
You can volunteer with a friend or your spouse for the usher or greeter position. One person is needed each month to serve as liturgist.
First service attendees are needed!

Sign up to help with the service by volunteering to be an usher, greeter, or liturgist for the 2018 calendar year.

Two greeters, four ushers and one liturgist (who reads joys and concerns and leads the prayer afterwards) are needed for each month.

There will be sign-up sheets on the bulletin board at church.   The months will be listed on the paper. This is a great opportunity to serve in a volunteer capacity. If you have any questions, email Kathleen Mock.

Trunk-n-Treat is Oct. 31 / Join in the Fun!
These special FFUMC ghouls enjoyed decorating and passing out candy at the 2016 Trunk-n-Treat. You can participate this year. Just contact Susan Shuter.
We will hold our annual Trunk-n-Treat again this year (coinciding with the Town of Frankton's trick or treating). It will be held on Tuesday, October 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.

You are invited to dress in costume (or not) and decorate a  table and pass out candy. Email Susan Shuter if you plan to decorate a table. You can reach her at: susan@shutersunsetfarms.com. This is a fun time to greet families from our community who enjoy the safe and friendly atmosphere FFUMC provides!

Another opportunity to help is with cookies (no peanuts). The Hospitality Plus committee is asking for cookie donations for the adults. We provide a booth and serve coffee, hot cider and cookies to all of the adults who bring children. If you can donate two dozen cookies, email Jerry Hoss at jhoss71@yahoo.com.

Trunk-n-Treat is held in the back room of The Factory, so bad weather will not interfere with the fun! See you there.
