Interim Facilities Manager
Last year, we budgeted for a new Facilities Manager; someone to work with vendors, develop policies, troubleshoot technical problems, and oversee the extensive work that our building requires over the next several years. While we've yet to identify the long-term candidate with the right experience, we have brought on Tom Pulver to serve as our Interim Facilities Manager in the coming year, while some of our largest building projects are underway. Please direct all building-related inquiries to Tom Pulver, or our Property & Grounds Committee, and please give Tom a warm welcome to this new role.

Text Messages from FCCGE
Occasionally you may receive a text message from FCCGE. We try to limit them so you aren't overwhelmed. If you do not wish to receive them please just reply to the text with the word STOP and the system will take you off. Please do not text "remove me from your list" as the system does not recognize this language. (Texts come from this number: (630) 280-3080). Thank you so much for your understanding!

Construction News
Old Pilgrim Hall Gone!
Thanks to the generosity of many people through our Called Forward Capital Campaign, our lower level gathering place where we host our church dinners, Advent Fests, receptions and care for our PADS guests is getting a renovation. Many talented people have worked long and hard to design a much more beautiful and user-friendly space for all of the above. The renovated hall will be aesthetically more pleasing, easier to keep clean, serve our needs more efficiently with a better sound system and media devices and generally be a much more welcoming and tranquil space. Target finish is mid-September. Click here to see a rendering of what it will look like. If you would like to make a contribution to the Called Forward Capital Campaign, please contact the church office 630.469.3096 ext.10.

Upcoming Sermon Series, "Greatest Hits" Fall 2019
Sept. 8-Oct. 6
Whatever the genre, each of our lives has a soundtrack; the songs that we return to again and again in good times and in bad. Our faith has familiar lyrics too, those "greatest hits" of our scriptures that we turn to time and again. Join Rev. Seth Ethan Carey and Rev. Kendra Joyner Miller this Fall for a musical exploration of the songs and the stories, the anthems and the rhythms that echo in our ears and in our hearts.
