Supplies Needed to Care for Our PADS Guests
Imagine it's 40 degrees and raining outside and your only choice of where to rest your head is a bench, or the ground. Let's make sure our friends in need don't have to do that. You can help easily by donating supplies that we will use to care for these precious souls in our PADS shelters. Email Linda and she can tell you what we need and when. Consider making this small effort to make a huge difference in someone's life.
Want to Help? Here's How!

Many of you lovely folks have asked how you can help others in this time of great need. We have relationships with 3 wonderul organizations that could use assistance in many ways. Please contact them through the following links:

Glen Ellyn Food Pantry - Help Needed Mon-Thurs 9-11am. We are packing emergency bags (e-bags) for our clients to be able to get quality food without needing to come into contact with people (like they would during a regular shopping experience). Also, many of our regular volunteers are at high risk of infection.
With that in mind, we are looking for volunteers to help us pack these e-bags between 9-11am Monday through Thursday the next few weeks. Please email our team if you would like to offer your time.
One Great Hour of Sharing

One Great Hour of Sharing is part of Our Church's Wider Mission (OCWM), is one of the four special mission offerings of the United Church of Christ. Working in more than 138 countries, the offering provides hope to people 365 days each year. The UCC works with international partners, and together we provide support to health, education, refugee, agricultural, and emergency relief initiatives. Make checks payable to First Congregational Church, with “One Great Hour of Sharing” on the memo line.
Be the Church Campaign Update

Many thanks to all of you who attended our gala last Sunday night, and everyone who has participated in our Be the Church annual fund drive. At this time, we have collected 144 pledges and $671,499  towards our $1,000,000 goal. This will help us to support staff and ministries that make a real impact in our community. If you still intend to pledge, you can submit your pledge by dropping it in the mail. You can also give online to your annual fund 2020-21 through our secure portal here . Thank you for helping us to be the Church.
