Nearly 2,000 years ago, the seven most groundbreaking, earth-shattering, eternity-altering words that have ever been spoken were proclaimed on Easter morning: “He is not here! He is risen!” And yet the gospel of Luke says that when the women who were at the tomb went to share the good news, the disciples laughed it off and thought it was nothing more than an “idle tale” or a “silly story.” So, 2,000 years later, how do we share the good news of Easter with a world that isn’t eager to listen? Join us on Easter Sunday as we discover in a new way what it means to be witnesses to the resurrection.

We continue to see sustained growth at the Pantry and continue to serve close to 600 families each week and unfortunately, our volunteer count continues to decline. Our regular volunteers are overworked and exhausted. We NEED YOU! If you've even thought about giving us a few hours on a Saturday morning, now is the time!
We promise you will have fun serving others AND it only takes a few hours on a Saturday morning so you can enjoy the rest of your day. The time is minimal but the reward is GREAT!

The Living Last Supper: Holy Week Special Event
Tomorrow Thursday, April 14, OR Friday, April 15 at 7 pm

Please join us to see and hear Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpiece “The Last Supper” come to life tomorrow Maundy Thursday (April 14) and Good Friday (April 15) at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center. (same service on both nights)
Through this dramatic recreation, you will not just see Da Vinci’s work of art right in front of you, but you will hear each of Jesus’ disciples tell their story of how they came to know Jesus and answered the call to follow him. HMUMC’s Easter Choir will provide supportive music that will draw you deeper and deeper into that holy moment in time.
We hope you will join us tomorrow or Friday at 7:00 pm.

Join us this Easter Sunday at Hamilton Mill UMC at any of our three unique worship services and together let’s celebrate the astoundingly good news of the resurrection!

- 7:00 am Outdoor Sunrise Service (lower parking lot by the cross)
- 9:15 am Modern Worship Service
- 11:00 am Traditional Worship Service
Overflow seating will be available during the 11:00 service in the Student Center.
The Flowering of the Cross - a special HMUMC annual tradition!
Everyone is invited to bring a flower to decorate the cross outside the Sanctuary on Easter morning before or after services. Don't forget to snap a picture and share them on Facebook or Instagram using #hmumceaster.

The Annual United Methodist Men's BBQ and Women's Ministry Bake Sale are BACK!
Our annual Men's BBQ and Women's Bake Sale are BACK Saturday, May 7th from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
You can NOW ORDER the delicious BBQ options through May 4 and pick them up under the worship center portico drive-thru Saturday, May 7th from 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm. If you haven't ordered BBQ from the UMM in the past, we highly recommend it! It's so good!
This year's options include:
1lb of pulled pork
2lb of pulled pork
1pt of Brunswick Stew
Family pack:
1 lb of pulled pork, 1/2 pt of beans and 1/2 pint of slaw
And our ladies will be offering their baked goods that day too! You can pre-pay for your dessert online when you order your BBQ and pick up. your special treat that day! Don't miss out!

Bakers Needed for Our Women's Ministry Bake Sale
As we prepare for the annual Men's BBQ and Women's Bake Sale Saturday, May 7th we are asking for volunteers to bake some delicious goodies to sell during the pick up of the BBQ.
We are looking for any deserts such as pies, cakes, cookies, muffins, cupcakes, and brownies. If you are able to bake goodies please email [email protected] to sign up for what you would like to bake.
All baked goodies should be brought to the church for drop off on Friday, May 6th by 7:30 pm or at the latest by 11:00 am Saturday, May 7th.
We are also asking for volunteers to help set up on Friday afternoon/evening, May 6th and during the sale on Saturday, May 7th.
If you are able to volunteer your time for either day please include that in your email. We are looking forward to helping make this event a success for our ministry!

Acolyte Training
Sunday, April 24th from 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm
Calling all youth from 3rd - 12th grade! Come be an Acolyte during our 11:00 am service.
Our HMUMC Acolytes carry the light and the processional cross into our 11:00 traditional worship service. This is a wonderful way for our youth to serve at HMUMC.
Please join us on Sunday, April 24 from 12:15 (after service) to 1:00 pm for hands-on training. During this training, you will learn the steps involved to serve as an acolyte. For more information please email [email protected]

June 6-10 from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm each day
We need ADULT Volunteers!
Please note that we are at camper capacity pending additional Adult Volunteers for VBS 2022. Adults, please consider being a crew leader this year! We promise you will LOVE the experience.
We do have a camper waitlist so we can ensure your child a spot once more Adult Volunteers sign up. Please be sure to put your child's name on that waitlist. If you volunteer, your child is guaranteed a spot but please be sure to add them to the waitlist and then notify Traci Lowry via email at [email protected] to move them off the waitlist.

The church office will be closed, Monday, April, 18th so the clergy and staff can rest after Holy Week and Easter. With this in mind, our responses might be delayed but we will be in touch as soon as we can. The Preschool will be open and our Monday Morning Bible Study will be running as well.
