#1. Worship This Week
Worship this Sunday, June 13 at 9:15 and 11:00 am.
No Reservations Required

This week's sermon title: Fixing our Focus
by Rev. Jeremy Lawson

If being lukewarm in our faith is something we want to avoid, then what causes us to fall into that trap in the first place? Before the pandemic, a lot of people blamed it on not having enough time. They said, “If only my calendar wasn’t so full, I’d have more time to devote to God and growing in my faith.” And yet, for some, during the past year when we’ve had more time than ever, God became even less of a priority. This Sunday, we’ll look at Jesus’ words to “seek first the Kingdom of God” and how they can help us fix our focus in life.

We look forward to seeing you either in person or via live stream, Sunday, June 13 at 9:15 am or 11:00 am.

Reservations are NO LONGER required for in-person services
We look forward to seeing you soon!

#4. Storm Response Mission Day
Storm Response Mission Day: Newnan, Georgia
Saturday, June 26 from 8 am - 6 pm

The HMUMC Disaster Response Ministry invites you to serve with us on Storm Response Mission Day! We will be taking a team to serve our neighbors in Newnan, Georgia. On the evening of March 25th, powerful storm cells moved across Alabama and Georgia, resulting in a tornado damaging over 2,000 homes in Newnan.

Relief efforts continue to help Newnan residents and businesses recover from the damage. Want to help? Join us for an all-day mission event on June 26th.

Disaster Response requires a variety of work ranging from clean-up to more intensive repairs. We will provide meals and materials. All you will need to bring are work clothes, work gloves, eye protection, and sturdy shoes. We will coordinate on tools.

We anticipate leaving early Saturday morning and returning in the early evening. Participants must be 16 years of age or older. There is no fee for this trip. For questions, please contact John Chickering at john@chickering.net.

#5. The Pantry - Cereal Food Drive
Cereal Food Drive for The Pantry: Pastor vs. Pastor Race
June 13 - July 11

Summer is HERE! And both The Pantry and breakfast don't take a summer off!

This summer, we are focusing our efforts on one of the most needed items at The Pantry - cereal. Let's come together for a common cause to end summer hunger.

And for this cereal drive, we are having a Pastor vs. Pastor competition! Which HMUMC pastor would you like to see eat some of the very unique food Pantry donations? If you want to torture your favorite pastor, be sure to place your cereal item in their bin or put their name on the online memo donation!

More info coming soon! Thank you for your support! Together we can make a difference!

Looking for other ways to help The Pantry this summer? Check out our amazing, newly redesigned website and sign-up at www.hmumc.org/thepantry
