Limited Groups Meeting Next Week

Due to the Spokane School District vacation calendar, many events are on pause next week.

The following groups will NOT meet the week of December 31-January 6:

• Oasis
• Caravan
• Men's Breakfast and Bible Study
• Wednesday Morning Bible Study
• Journey
• Bell Choir Rehearsal
• Choir Rehearsal

These groups will resume the week of January 7th. Hope to see you then!

Share Your 2023 Faith

It's that time of year when we start preparing for the HPPC Annual Report, and we'd love to include your thoughts. You will find a short questionnaire at hamblenpres.org/share-your-faith. It contains prompts to help us learn about your personal experiences at HPPC over the past year. You can answer any of the five questions listed.

We are also requesting photos you may have taken in the past year at any HPPC activities. Please send photos to [email protected]. Thank you!

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Wednesday Morning Bible Study: Postcards from the New Testament

January 10 - February 7 at 9:30 AM

For 5 weeks, we’ll be looking at New Testament Letters that are short enough to be postcards. Though their length is brief, each one addresses key theological issues that impact our individual and communal faith journeys. If you’ve ever wondered about or (flipped past) Philemon, 2 and 3 John, and Jude, join us this winter.

Snow Patrol

Each winter we are responsible to keep the church's entryways and the sidewalks around the perimeter of our property clear of snow and ice. We depend on volunteers for this critical ministry that keeps our neighbors safe. Training on our snowblower can be provided! If you would like to be responsible for a day or a week at a time, sign up HERE. If you have questions, contact Heather Notske at 509-385-0627 or [email protected]. 

Office Volunteers Needed 

Are you interested in helping out in the office on a weekly or as-needed basis? We are looking for a few people who would be willing to:

• Answer the phones for an hour or two at a time
• Help with occasional mailings
• Straighten up the pew racks in the sanctuary once a week

Office Hours

Church office hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM. We are closed on Fridays. As always, staff will be available for appointments and meetings beyond the posted hours.

Children’s & Family Ministry

Volunteer Opportunities

You can sign up HERE to help with J.A.M. Sunday School, Wednesday evening Journey Kids' Club, or other volunteer opportunities that impact children. For information on our children's programs, contact Pastor Jennie at [email protected].

JAM (Jesus and Me) Children's Sunday School

J.A.M. Sunday School is right after the Children’s Sermon during worship. Each week, children aged 3 years through 5th grade will gather for Bible lessons. We have fun activities, skits, and wonderful messages planned!

Journey Kids' Club (K-5th Graders)

Journey Kids' Club meets Wednesdays, 5:00 to 7:00pm. We are so excited to spend time playing games, eating food, and learning more about God in this really wonderful time together! A weekly donation of $5 is suggested to help support the cost of dinner. You are encouraged to bring a friend!

Kids' Zone

On Family Worship Sundays throughout the year and every Sunday during the summer, children 3yrs-1st grade are invited to the Skylight Room for fun activities. Kids 2nd grade and up remain in the worship service with their families.
