A three-day, two-night experience for our outgoing 9th-12th graders, during which we’ll stay at the church, serve diverse local ministries together, and explore how God’s calling us towards justice this week and beyond.

Summer Office Hours
The church office is open for walk-in today 9-1:30, and Friday 9-Noon. Starting next week, July 19, through September 3, the office will be open Monday-Thursday, 9AM-4PM, and closed Fridays. As always, staff will be available for appointments and meetings beyond the posted hours.

Listening for God
The Vigilante, by John Steinbeck was discussed in this summer's first meeting of "Listening for God in the Skylight Room," and many enjoyed the opportunity to gather in person! If you would like to join in next week's discussion about The Revolt of Mother, by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman on Wednesday, July 21, at 9:30 AM or a later discussion, pick up a copy of these short stories in the church office or request an emailed copy from [email protected]. Join Us for Bluegrass Worship!
On Sunday, August 15th, we will have guest musicians Emilie Miller, Daniel Burdett, Mellad Abeid, and David Fague leading us in bluegrass music for worship. It will be a special service that is sure to get your foot tapping. We hope you’ll join us!

Stampers will resume meeting in September. Each month, you can join in the fun, 9 AM to Noon in Room 4, on the 2nd and 4th Fridays (excluding holidays). Here is this year's schedule:

- November 12 (No meeting on the 26th due to Thanksgiving)

Seeking Volunteers for Sunday Worship Services

Retirement Ministry
Hamblen Retirement Ministry has been invited back to Moran Vista Retirement Home to begin a worship service again. The service is held on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 2 to 3 PM. We would like to invite new members to participate with us. We need song leaders, pianists for hymns, and persons to lead, which involves a message or mini-sermon. Our main need at this time is for leaders and pianists.

Oasis Backpacking Trip
Friday, August 20th through Monday, August 23rd
This summer our high schoolers have the opportunity to explore the Wallowas in Eastern Oregon as we backpack, camp, and bask in the beauty of creation on this four-day trip. For both the backpacking connoisseur and those wanting to dive in for the first time, Peak 7 is hosting this trip and providing transportation from Spokane, training, and any supplies that students can’t provide themselves. Camp Spalding
Through their Christian summer camp programs, Camp Spalding provides a chance for thousands of young people from greater Spokane and North Idaho to get away from the daily routine, spend a week with an outstanding, fun staff of mature role models, and experience the adventurous life God intends for us. Sessions begin at the end of June and are offered during various dates throughout the summer. Once again, our Deacons are providing a 50% scholarship for any student attending. JAM (Jesus and Me)
Children's Sunday School
JAM Sunday School will resume in the fall. Kids’ Zone is available for the summer for children 3 years old through 1st grade. Children will attend worship with their families until the Junior Sermon. After the Junior Sermon, they can go with Jessica Munroe to Room 1 (Movie Room) for a fun Bible related activity. Kids’ Zone will run June 27, through September 12. Kids, please join Jessica and friends for a fun morning!

Youth Ministries (6th-12th Grades)
Caravan (incoming 6th graders through outgoing 8th graders) and Oasis (incoming 9th graders through outgoing 12th graders) will hold a few weeks of regular meetings in midsummer! Meet at the church and we’ll hangout in the sun across at Hamblen Elementary. We will resume our regular schedule in the fall.
