Opportunities to Serve at HPPC & in the Community

Visit our website at hamblenpres.org/getinvolved to check out a list of ways to get involved at HPPC and grow as a disciple of Jesus. You will find 10 different categories along with a few examples of things that fit in each category. In front of each category is a checkbox. If you think you would like to try out a new ministry, fill out the form online or print the list, check the box(es) of the categories that interest you, return it to the office, and we will contact you when we have a need for volunteers. The Sermon on the Mount…and the Plain?

Many of us are familiar with Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5-7, commonly called the Sermon on the Mount. Did you know we find similar teaching in the gospel of Luke? This Spring, we will look at these two sermons of Jesus to deepen our understanding of how God’s reign is present and active in our midst. We’ll wrestle with critical questions about discipleship and gain fresh perspectives on the Good News of the Gospel. Join us Wednesday mornings at 9:30 in the Skylight Room from April 12-May 17.

May is for Kisses

If you wear your name tag on Sundays during the month of May, you and your family will each receive a kiss….(candy that is).

Name tags help us get to know each other better and make it easier for newcomers to feel welcomed. Wear yours and get a sweet treat.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Shirts & Shorts for the Liberty Park

Community Development Center’s Pre-School

It’s SPRING and that means SHIRTS & SHORTS for the Liberty Park Community Development Center’s Pre-School. The Center has 43 young children attending either full time or part time. This year, through the Neighborhood Outreach Deacon’s program, we will purchase a short & shirt set for each child and do the shopping for you. Our expected expense per set is about $10, for a total of approximately $500.

If you’d like to support this outreach, you may donate financially at bit.ly/HPPCMinistrySupport and designate those funds to Neighborhood Outreach toward the Shirt/Short Drive for Liberty Park Pre-School. As always, we cannot tell you how much we appreciate your support for our ministries. What an exciting surprise for the children as they look forward to summer!!!
