Less Than 3 Weeks Until National Night Out

Urgent Needs for NNO:

• Help distribute door hangers on Saturday, July 22, at 9 AM.
• Donate single-serve beverages and chips. Drop off donations at the table designated for NNO next to the Information Center in the church entry.

Other Ways to Get Involved with NNO:

• Volunteer at the event. Many hands are needed!
•  If you live in the Hamblen neighborhood, display a NNO yard sign at your home. Signs are available in the church office.
• Loan canopies for the event. Drop them off at the NNO table in the church entry. Be sure your name is on your tent.
• Come and enjoy the evening with this neighborhood! Wear your church name tag and help people feel welcome on Tuesday, August 1, 6-7:30 PM.

Breakfast Before Church

Sundays at 8 AM

Join us each Sunday this summer for a potluck breakfast before the worship service. Here are the upcoming themes: 

• July 23 – Eggs, Meat, & Potatoes
• July 30 – Pastries & Fruit
• August 6 – International Dishes
• August 13 – Breakfast Breads & Muffins

Deacons will provide the milk, juice, and coffee, plus plates, bowls, and utensils.

In Case You Missed It--Staffing Change

Trina, our Administrative Assistant for the past 2 ½ years, and her husband are moving to Indiana next week. Luckily for us, Trina will continue working for us from two time zones away. In her new role as Communications Coordinator, she will be responsible for the Sunday bulletin & screen slides, What’s Happening at Hamblen (weekly e-news), paper newsletters, annual report, updating the website, and anything else we can come up with. Trina’s last day in the office is today Thursday, July 13. After today, she can still be reached at [email protected] or 509-385-0919. Her first day in the virtual office will be on July 24. We are sorry to see her go but are happy that she gets to “stay!"

Blankets for HPPC Newborns

The Congregational Care Team offers a ministry of giving baby blankets and Bibles to newborns of HPPC. This outreach is intended to welcome our little ones with love and affirmation of our commitment to be part of our community of faith.

Summer Office Hours

During the summer months, church office hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM. We are closed on Fridays. As always, staff will be available for appointments and meetings beyond the posted hours.

Kids' Zone

On Family Worship Sundays throughout the year and every Sunday during the summer, children 3yrs-1st grade are invited to the Skylight Room for fun activities. Kids 2nd grade and up remain in the worship service with their families. 

Youth Ministries (6th-12th Grades)

Each week this summer we’ll be having regular, weekly youth group for our middle and high schoolers! 

Caravan (6th-8th grade):

Mondays 6:00-7:30 PM

Oasis (9th-12th grade):

Thursdays 6:00-8:00
