WORSHIP WITH US

Stewardship Sermon Series

It may not be a topic for polite dinner conversation, but the Bible has a lot to say about money and our relationship to it. In addition to scripture, individuals and communities are shaped by the “money stories” that invoke fear, trust, wisdom, confusion, generosity, and wholeness. During our fall stewardship series, we will explore Old and New Testament texts that move us to deep and honest engagement with the ways we practice, or fail to practice, faithful stewardship. Join us Sunday mornings at 9 AM in the sanctuary.

Book Club

You can join the Book Club for a discussion in the Fellowship Hall on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 1 PM. For more information, contact Betty Thompson at [email protected]. Our next meeting is October 19, during which we will discuss West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge.

If you would like to get started reading the book selection for next month’s meeting, we will be discussing Under a Cloudless Sky by Chris Fabry. With part of the story taking place in 1933 and the other half in 2004, this is an engaging story with rich details and interesting characters. It offers readers some surprising twists as the two stories slowly weave together. Under a Cloudless Sky is entertaining and a wonderful addition to the inspirational fiction genre.
