WORSHIP WITH US

Join us for the sermon series "8 Degrees of Separation: The Deadly Sins and the Remedies of Grace" by our guest Dr. Keith Wyma. As early as the 4th century, Christians have counted "Seven Deadly Sins" or "Eight Evil Thoughts" that separate us from God and one another. But, more importantly, Christians have affirmed the grace that sets believers free from these sins. By exploring the remedies of grace connected to this ancient list, we will reclaim grace for ourselves and discover how the grace of Jesus impacts all the areas of our lives.

First Sunday of the Month

Communion will be observed this Sunday. If you are worshiping with us from home and would like to celebrate communion during our Sunday morning service, please be sure to have a piece of bread or cracker, and something to drink ready when worship begins.

Incoming 6th + 9th Grade Recognition

On Sunday, June 11, in our worship service we will be recognizing the new changes and stages of life for our incoming 6th and 9th graders this next school year! We have student Bibles for our 6th graders to recognize the new chapter, no longer as elementary schoolers but as middle schoolers and (soon to be) teenagers. For our 9th graders, we have journaling Bibles to recognize that they’re making their faith their own, engaging with their faith in new ways as they’re leaving middle school and entering high school! Contact Mitchel Pierce at [email protected] so that we can have a Bible ready for your student on June 11.

Calling All Crafters

Deborah Circle is looking for crafters of all ages to participate in a Holiday Bazaar by donating handmade items to sell at the bazaar on Saturday, November 4, 2023, 9 AM to 4 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

These items can be handcrafted items, delicious baked goods, homemade jams, cards, aprons, pillowcases, or anything else you might be talented at making. We will also have a bake sale and a silent auction for unique items.

The money raised will be used for fellowship events and outreach projects of Deborah Circle. Please contact Terrie Roberts at 509-624-3108 for more information.

Our Church’s National Night Out Block Party

is Right Around the Corner – and YOU are Invited!

National Night Out is a nationwide event on the first Tuesday of August. People are encouraged to gather with their neighbors and build community. Our church will be hosting again this year on August 1, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

For almost 400 neighbors, we provide a free hot dog dinner, bounce house & slide, and live music. Local law enforcement and emergency service vehicles come and let kids climb into the trucks and interact with the firefighters and police officers who protect them. Neighbors visit and eat together. It’s a wonderful evening!

How can you be involved?

  • Come and enjoy the evening with this neighborhood! Wear your church name tag and help people feel welcome.
  • Volunteer to help! If you would like to help during the event, you can sign up at the information center in the church entry or at bit.ly/HPPCNationalNightOut2023. You can also help by providing single-serve beverages and chips. Drop off donations at the table designated for NNO next to the Information Center in the church entry.

Community is a gift from God. Let’s be a blessing to our neighborhood together by making community possible on August 1! See you then.
