WORSHIP WITH US

When Jesus calls us to follow him, he invites us to a journey that is full of diverse paths. Whether we encounter ease, challenge, or change, each path draws us closer to God. Join us Sunday mornings this fall as we explore the unique ways we are led by Jesus the Way.

THIS WEEK'S NEWS

Youth Sunday Sessions Begin THIS Sunday!

Sixth through twelfth graders are invited to the Youth Room following the worship service this Sunday until 11am as we learn how to read the Bible!

Acolyte Training - THIS Sunday

Calling all incoming 4th and 5th graders! Are you interested in becoming an acolyte and assisting in worship services? We have a short meeting and training session for potential acolytes and their parents coming up Sunday, September 24, immediately after the service. We will meet at the front row of the sanctuary. Please respond to Kathy Williams at [email protected] if your child is interested.

Sunday School Helper Training

All youth who are serving or are interested in serving as Sunday School helpers are invited to a training, Sunday, October 8, at 10:15 AM. We'll meet in the Skylight Room to answer questions, review expectations, and talk about the best ways to support teachers and kids. Donuts will be provided! Please reach out to Mitchel ([email protected]) or Pastor Jennie ([email protected]) with questions.

Our Money Story Devotional Guide and Discussion Group

Talking about money and finances is uncomfortable so we often avoid doing so, but money and possessions are two of the most talked about topics in Scripture--Jesus talked about money more than faith and prayer.

Our relationship with our money, our time, and our other resources is complicated. We all have a money story, whether we recognize it or not. Some of us are living from a story of shame or guilt. Others have been taught that our actions won't have an impact. Many fear that they will run out or not have enough.

Our October 8-29 sermon series will explore how events in the past have influenced our connection with money in the present. There is a beautiful and thoughtful devotional guide available on the information table that follows along with each week's sermon theme. After worship each week there will be a discussion group in the Skylight Room, led by Heather Notske. We hope you will join us there!

Book Club Now Meets at 1:00 PM

You can join the Book Club for a discussion in the Fellowship Hall on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 1 PM (NEW TIME!). For more information, contact Betty Thompson at [email protected]. Our next meeting is October 19, during which we will discuss West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge.

If you would like to get started reading the book selection for November's meeting, we will be discussing Under a Cloudless Sky by Chris Fabry. With part of the story taking place in 1933 and the other half in 2004, it is a multilayered, engaging story with rich details and interesting characters. It offers readers some surprising twists as the two stories slowly weave together.

Pardon Our Mess

We’re in the process of remodeling on the south side of the building to make our youth room and room 4 more inviting, functional, and safe spaces. Thanks for your patience!
