Save the Date! Congregational Meeting 1/26



Please join us after the service on January 26th for our annual meeting and meal! We’ve got business to cover, including voting on terms of call for the head pastor, electing officers, and reflecting on how God’s been at work in 2024. This year, we’re excited to invite EVERYONE to share about God’s work! We’ll be sharing stories together during and after our meal in some intentional ways—everyone of all ages will get the chance to connect and share with new and old friends in our intergenerational church family!

Top of the Hill - Tuesday, 1/14

Join us Tuesday, January 14 as we welcome Susan McDonald Osborn, the founder and executive director of Spokane Helpers Network, a home-based all-volunteer nonprofit that addresses the basic needs of households experiencing financial insecurity. What began as a compassionate response to the Covid-19 pandemic is now a 501C(3) nonprofit that delivered 12,000 meals to hungry people across Spokane County in 2024. RSVP to the church office or sign up in the lobby.

2025 Winter Session: Tai Chi 

(Moving for Better Balance)

Another 5-week Tai Chi Session start NEXT Thursday, 1/16! Sandy Nolting will continue teaching this 8-movement form to improve balance and lower leg strength. Classes will be Thursdays from 1-2 PM beginning 1/16 through 2/24

This session is open to everyone! Our first class, 1/16 will be held in the Skylight Room. The following classes will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Class is mostly standing but can be modified if you need to stay seated. We hope to see you there!

You are not alone. The Congregational Care Team offers help to our Hamblen family members that find it difficult to attend church activities. A care team member can make regular visits at your home to bring Hamblen’s community to you. Please contact Heather at the church office or Betty Rogers at 509-230-7967. BITE2GO Delivery Drivers to Hamblen Elementary

and Liberty Park Pre-School



Dates have been added to the Sign-up Genius for the New Year. We SO appreciate your faithfulness in helping deliver the 'kits' to both Hamblen Elementary and Liberty Park Pre-school. If you aren't able to do deliveries, consider donating financially to help cover the $175 per week it costs to fund Hamblen (Liberty Park is funded by another source). Thank you!

Portable Projects

Do you have a portable craft or project you would like to work on with others in the community? Join us in Room 4 on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30 AM. Bring your projects and join us!

Volunteer Group for Hamblen Park Preschool

If you are not familiar with the preschool here at HPPC, you can learn more about how Hamblen Park Preschool serves the Spokane community by visiting our website at www.hamblenpres.org/preschool. For those interested in getting involved with this ministry, a group of volunteers is being formed to help at the preschool. There will be opportunities to read to the children, help with special projects, reach out to parents, and support the teachers. If you have special talents to share or a heart for young children, you are just what we need! Time commitment is up to you. For more information, contact Janet Ray at (509) 993-2000.

Office Hours

Church office hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM. We are closed on Fridays. As always, staff will be available for appointments and meetings beyond the posted hours.

NEXT GEN MINISTRIES

The focus of Next Gen Ministries at HPPC is on families. Mitchel Pierce, Director of Next Gen Ministries, organizes activities, plan events, teach, share, and invest in our students.

Children’s & Family Ministries

Children's Sunday School (3-yrs - 5th Grade)

Sunday School is right after the Children’s Sermon during worship throughout the school year. Each week, children aged 3 years through 5th grade will gather for Bible lessons. We have fun activities, skits, and wonderful messages planned!

Kids' Zone (3-yrs - 1st Grade)

On Family Worship Sundays throughout the year and every Sunday during the summer, children 3yrs-1st grade are invited to the Skylight Room for fun activities. Kids 2nd grade and up remain in the worship service with their families. 

Journey Kids' Club (K-5th Grade)

Journey Kids' Club meets Wednesdays, 5:00-7:00 PM, October--May. We are so excited to spend time playing games, eating food, and learning more about God in this really wonderful time together! A weekly donation of $5 is suggested to help support the cost of dinner. You are encouraged to bring a friend!

Youth Ministries (6th-12th Grades)
