WORSHIP WITH US

Stewardship Sermon Series

It may not be a topic for polite dinner conversation, but the Bible has a lot to say about money and our relationship to it. In addition to scripture, individuals and communities are shaped by the “money stories” that invoke fear, trust, wisdom, confusion, generosity, and wholeness. During our fall stewardship series, we will explore Old and New Testament texts that move us to deep and honest engagement with the ways we practice, or fail to practice, faithful stewardship. Join us Sunday mornings at 9 AM in the sanctuary.

THIS WEEK'S NEWS

2024 Giving Campaign

You should have received a letter from our stewardship committee that includes a card for you to fill out with an "estimate of giving" for 2024. We are in the process of building our budget and we hope that you will consider supporting our mission financially in the upcoming year.

To return your card: mail in the enclosed envelope, put it in the offering plate during worship, or bring it directly to Heather in the church office. If you prefer to use an electronic version, you will find that at bit.ly/HPPC2024EstimateOfGiving. You may also call or email Heather directly at 509-385-0627 or [email protected].

Greeters Needed!

Hello Members! Here is your opportunity to be the one to greet your friends and neighbors as they enter the church on a Sunday morning. Weekly door greeters (you) are needed to greet fellow members and our visitors as they enter the building on Sunday mornings. Get involved and be that active Hamblen member in building our community for Jesus Christ.

Arrive 20-25 minutes earlier than your usual time and share your love of Jesus with a good morning greeting to those arriving for church. Pick the Sunday that works best for you and sign up to be a greeter at bit.ly/HPPCDoorGreeters. You can also sign up on the Greeter Clipboard found on the information table in the church entry or by contacting Pam Richardson. Pam can be reached at 509-710-1392 or [email protected].

Want to Bring Goodies for Coffee Fellowship?

The fellowship deacons can use your help providing goodies or treats for Sunday Coffee Fellowship time. Locate the card tree at the coffee and treat table on Sunday morning, take a tag for the date you wish to provide treats, then call or text Monica Scruggs the Saturday before your chosen Sunday to confirm. Treats can be dropped off before service and should feed between 20 and 30. No need to provide drinks. For more info, contact Monica Scruggs at 509-209-6548.

If you think you would like to try out a new ministry, fill out the form online or print the list, check the box(es) of the categories that interest you, return it to the office, and we will contact you when we have a need for volunteers.
