WOULD YOU LIKE PASTORAL CARE OR A VISIT?
Throughout Covid, pastors and members of the congregational care team have continued our ministry of visiting and offering care. However, care and visits are now complicated. Institutional rules and safety precautions can even prevent visitations. If you would like a visit or call, please reach out any time. We are proactive in visiting people, but we also need to hear from anyone who would like a connection so that we don’t miss anyone in need. The pastors can be reached by email, cell phone, or through the church office. Hamblen is a church family. May the Lord continue to connect us with one another in safe ways even during the pandemic.
THIS WEEK'S NEWS
National Night Out a Huge Success!

Thank you to everyone who planned, shopped for, helped out with, and attended Tuesday night's block party! It was so fun! We are guessing that we had between 250-300 people attend. We were able to donate the leftover food to our ministry partner Cup of Cool Water who has an upcoming event. If you are interested in helping out with next year's National Night Out, please let a staff member know!

Paid Nursery Help Needed Urgently

We are currently understaffed in the nursery and are attempting to hire but have had no applicants. If you are over 18 and would be willing to work in the nursery one or two Sunday mornings a month or an occasional weekday evening, you would be a great blessing to those depending on the nursery. We want everyone to feel comfortable attending worship services or other events at Hamblen with their families and hope to continue offering childcare services to ensure families feel welcome. If you are able, please help us continue to provide this important service to our congregation and visitors. Thank you!

A week from this Sunday, we welcome Dr. Keith Wyma to our pulpit. Keith is a friend of the church and a professor of Philosophy at Whitworth University. Keith has authored several books and articles. He is a great communicator who is passionate about Jesus Christ. Ask him about his tattoos!

What is the “New Face of Mission” in a world still reeling from colonialism? Join CEDEPCA for the next Virtual Journey to Guatemala where we will talk about what makes for healthy cross-cultural relationships. If you lead mission trips or ever plan to, this Virtual Journey is for you. We are excited that both authors will be present to guide us on this Virtual Journey. Participants are encouraged to read the book beforehand for a richer experience.
