WORSHIP WITH US

With the disciples we hear Jesus' final prayer in the gospel of John. Jesus' intimate prayer to the Father models the intimacy that marks authentic relationship with God, connects us to the life-giving word, enfolds us in truth, and unifies us to share the gospel.

Open House to Learn About Guatemala Book Ministry

and Reading Program

Amanda Flayer Chif is visiting us from Guatemala. She is the leader and teacher of the teachers for the Libros Abiertos program that Hamblen has been working with in the La Libertad School.

On Sunday, July 30, there is an open house at Mary Mattie's home, 2448 E Girard Place, from 5pm to 8pm. Please come to share a snack and beverage and get to know Amanda and her family. This is an opportunity to learn more about the reading program and about Amanda's school, La Puerta Abierta, in Santiago, Guatemala. Looking forward to seeing you in this informal setting for fellowship.

Thank You From The Moe Family

Dear Pastor Jennie and the Hamblen Park Congregation,

Thank you so much for inviting us to share in worship yesterday. It was a joy to be there and see all the people who support us and our ministry with CEDEPCA. Your prayers, your ongoing interest, and your financial support are a huge blessing to us as a family!

May God continue to bless and guide you as you engage in mission in Spokane and around the world. We look forward to seeing some of you very soon in Guatemala!

Love, Pastor Betsey & Eric Moe

Thank you from Pastor CJ in Ganado, Arizona

[During Vacation Bible School this year we collected money for our friends at Ganado Presbyterian Church on the Navajo Reservation. We were able to send Pastor CJ $2,000. When Cindy texted him to let him know the check was coming, this was his response]:

Oh, thank you, thank you! Tears come to my eyes in hearing this. The funds will go a long way to pay our church utility past due bills and other necessities to keep our church doors open. Our Presbytery had ceased financial support 6 years ago and I've been paying all of the church's accounts out of my own pocket (mostly out of my Retirement monthly pay). Indeed God is good! I wish I could personally thank everyone for your generous gift. One day, I will. Love to HPPC. Thank you, thank you. Peace and blessings. -Pastor CJ
