Exciting Things are Happening This Sunday!

Back by popular demand, we are welcoming guest musicians for BLUEGRASS SUNDAY! Get your toes tapping and sing along to favorite hymns in a new (old!) style.

Visit our MINISTRY FAIR immediately following worship. Join us in the Fellowship Hall to learn about ways you can get connected in the life of HPPC while enjoying coffee and treats.

This week we kick off a new SERMON SERIES titled Is This the Jesus You Know? where we will look at ways Jesus identifies himself in the gospel of John.

Hope to see you at 9:00 AM on 9/11!

WORSHIP WITH US

Is This the Jesus You Know?

September 11 – October 23

Everyone has an opinion about who Jesus Christ is. And they'll tell you too. We often get our understanding of Jesus from a lot of different sources: books, culture, churches, the internet, and even politicians. But who does Jesus himself say he is? Expand your view of Jesus through this series looking at the seven "I Am" statements from the gospel of John.

Join us for In-Person Worship on Sunday Mornings at 9 AM!

  • Masks optional.
  • Nursery care provided.
  • Communion served in factory-sealed packets the first Sunday of the month.
  • Kids’ Zone for children aged 3-yrs through 1st grade after the Junior Sermon.

THIS WEEK'S NEWS

Thank you HPPC

Thank you, Hamblen friends, for the recent wonderful retirement reception and the fun travel package. Kathy and I really enjoy KOAs. We are looking into places to take our trailer with clear night skies.

Blessings,

Joe and Kathy

What's the Difference Between Ushers & Greeters?

Anyone who would like to assist in passing out bulletins and ushering worshippers into the Sanctuary ("Usher") or greet newcomers, visitors, and members at the outside doors on Sunday mornings ("Greeter") is encouraged to sign up on the sign-up sheet located at the Information Center in the church entry or at hamblenpres.org/signup. For those signing up as an usher, a head usher will be available to assist and answer questions.
